The "No Food For You" Waiting on PINS & Needles Room Only Discount Club -Come Join Us

Hoping for RO discount for our trip 10/17-10/23. Either way we're going, but with a discount we'll be able to upgrade from a Value to a Moderate. If I'm paying rack rate with no discounts, I'm not spending any more than I have to at Disney this year. (Not that we "have" to go of course, but the airfare's booked so we're going!)

Hi,

(sorry if this has been asked/answered)

If my trip is already booked, is it possible to still get a pin code? or are they only sent out to people who have no trips booked?

thanks!

Yeah I am a little bit nervous but I think we picked one of the slowest weeks so I am thinking we can still get RO discount. Just shocked everything came out early and that RO wasn't announced with it

We are still holding out hope for a room discount. We are booked 10/11-10/17.

I don't know what's going on, but I was randomly checking Orbitz, and they seem to have RO's already posted - but for cheaper than what I was seeing speculated. I got 20% off at the Pop, plus 15% with the promo code gethappy. So basically I got it for $79/night including tax. Couldn't be more thrilled right now. :cool1: My dates are September 7-12, btw!

What Orbitz code did you use?

Thanks for posting...I was waiting to see when Orbitz would lower their prices to match the new RO discounts. I saved just over $100 booking this way instead of my original 20% off through WDW. My room rate was a little higher than yours at about $82 per night for the first week of September.

Thanks for the intel on orbitz. Question for everyone though. I was looking at a 1 bedroom at old key west in mid September which to my surprise was only 268. However they have a separate listing for the same one bedroom for 386/night. Looks like difference is the more expensive one says disney resort benefits and the cheaper doesn't. Any clue what this means?

Well, I'm still waiting for a Free Dining PIN for May! Yes, this month! Ha, ya right. I'm going May 12 to 22 and I've always had FD PIN's for May...but nothing this year! Just the RO offer. My last 3 trips were FD, so I'll have to get used to paying out of pocket for food, drink and snacks. :(

We were lucky enough to find a TA with available room/ticket discounts for our 10/20-10/27 dates. Came to $1980 for 7 nights at POR and 4-day base tickets. Saved us about $450 off the rack rate for the same thing, so we are moving in the right direction, I just hope something more substantial comes out soon...

I now have 3 different reservations for WDW thru Orbitz. I've seen what you're talking about. I've always chosen the cheaper choice. The benefit that would matter to me is ME. As you are checking out you have a chance to choose various options such as tickets, events off property and ME. I always add ME to my shopping cart ... there has never been a charge for it. Once you complete the reservation they give you a link to ME to enter your resort info. Once I've done this I have received a confirmation from ME. Hope this answers your question.

HI!

So pleased to have found this thread! It's just what I've been looking for.

I'm travelling from the UK to check in on 10/17 until 10/30. No free dining for me. (I almost feel liberated from the 'But I still can't figure out how to use the last few credits' drama).

So now my mission is to get my Royal Room at POR for as little as possible.

Judging by how many people on this thread alone are starting their trip on 10/17 I'm not surprised the discounts are a little scarce!

I do currently have a reservation through Disney (I didn't know about the potential for discounts when I booked it) and I'm stressing over whether to cancel it and go with the Orbitz 15% off.

Does anyone have any opinions on this?

Almost 6 am and nothing on the website. :confused3 I wanted to at least look online to see what the prices were before I called to change my current res. Oh well, guess I'll keep checking.:headache:

Thanks. Cheap it is ; )

Do we know for sure RO will include late October onwards?
