Today we decided to take a bit of time out, I think at some point on your holiday your body says, hey enough is enough, give me a sun lounger, a cool drink and a good book! I got up about 6:30am and went and done some washing, leaving DH and DS in bed to have a lie-in! They didnt get up and dressed until after 9am (gasp not normal in Florida!) We decided we would go over to Pointe Orlando and have a look round there and then head up to Prime Outlets. We spent ages in Foot Locker at PO, DS says its his favourite part of the holiday! I know at the moment there are not too many shops in PO but we spent a bit of time there (mostly in Foot Locker!)
Lunchtime and we all agreed on Johnny Rockets. Chicken club sandwiches for 3 with DS and I sharing ½ fries ½ onion rings. The food was delicious but as usual the portions are bigger so we were all well and truly stuffed! Paid for lunch $39 and went up to Belz (oops Prime).
First stop in Prime was Foot Locker this should be called The Holmes Foot Locker tour!! Next it was onto Gap outlet, I could spend hours in this shop much to the others annoyance! I got a few t-shirts, jeans $15, which I pay over £30 for at, home. More or less opposite Gap is an underwear store Leggs (I think) they had some beautiful underwear, I bought 2 lovely bras for $32! Will definitely be going back there. DH bought a couple of things and then it was back to our hotel.
As was becoming usual, no one was hungry so we decided once again to skip dinner. I think a decent breakfast and evening meal is the best way to go, weve missed a few opportunities to try some nice places because we were hungry at lunchtime.
I really wanted to go and see the new Pixar film Cars but DH and DS didnt fancy it so my stubborn streak came through and I went to see it myself! In the Muvico theatre in Pointe Orlando they have 21 screens, Cars was showing on the giant screen theatre (think it used to be an IMAX). The screen was about 4 storeys high! The film was great; its going to be a hit in the UK in July! After the film it was back to the hotel and an early night as we had an early start to Miami tomorrow.
