Up this morning at 5:30, had the usual cereal and fruit for breakfast. We had to be outside hotel doors ready to be picked up at 8am. The bus arrived just after 8 and Connie the bus driver (also known as Mama Bear!) had a bit of an altercation with the hotel security guard. Basically the security is responsible for allocating vehicles places to stop while they pick up or drop off and also ensuring there is access at all times for emergency vehicles. He had motioned for her to park somewhere that she felt she could not park in as it was in between 2 cars, so she pulled the bus up somewhere else so she could collect her passengers. The guard came running over and he was shouting, You can not park here you can not stop here! They started to argue and she told us to get on the bus, he apparently grabbed her arm to get her out of the way and then put his arm across the doorway of the bus so that no-one else could get on (DH and DS had already got on leaving me front of the queue but not daring to move!!) The bus driver meanwhile had gone to speak with the guards manager and then the guard tried to explain to us why he didnt want the bus to stop where it was. He then let us get on the bus and we were off!!(phew!!)
The first stop was a Wal-Mart Super Centre, this was fantastic, it was like Asda but so much bigger and loads cheaper!! We bought CDs, moisturisers that we found to be about £3 each (we pay £10 at home) razors, cuddly toy and some drinks. They sell everything you could imagine, we seen some beautiful garden statues but we wouldnt be able to get them home boo hoo! We had about an hour here, I think 2 hours minimum is really needed to get a good look around.
Next stop was Orlando Premium Outlets. We had about 2 hours here (again could do with more) got some great things here. DS got a couple of T-shirts from French Connection, I bought a nice zip top from there. DH got the bargain of the day, a Timberland zip top priced at $70, down to $50, when he got to the till it went through at $24!! He was delighted!! The Burberry store was awful, to me it was a shop full of nothing! All the things were weird looking! The Lacoste store was similar, to be honest the sports shops seemed to be the better value for clothing.
Next stop was The Florida Mall (wow) this place was fantastic! A whole store dedicated to M & Ms!!! We were given a voucher to use for lunch if we wanted to, as it was limited to certain places. We chose KFC and had strips, fries and a drink. We had a really good shop round and we bought amongst other things, trainers (another Foot Locker), make-up, t-shirts and a lovely basque from Charlotte Russe. We looked in the jewellers as I was going to be treated to a new ring for my birthday and anniversary but I didnt go for anything, I thought I should wait and see if I found anything else if not I could always go back.
We headed back to the bus at 5:30. I was sure we would be going to Mall at Millennia on this trip, but we were taken back to our hotels (its a good job really might have spent more money!) Anyway, you cant fit them all in to one day. We got back to the hotel and I decided to do a load of washing I know Im on holiday but I dont like to take loads of dirty clothes back.
It was takeaway pizza in our room tonight, as usual we were all pretty tired and we didnt feel too hungry. Fell asleep about 11pm.
No pictures today so I thought I'd put some in from another day, one is Wonderworks which is right across the road from our hotel and the other was a lizard I seen in Discovery Cove, seems I caught it at the right time when it puffed its throat out!
