Me - worrier, florida lover, credit card spender and a big kid!
DH - credit card payer, non-worrier, level head!
DS - 14yrs old, teenager with attitude! loves sport!
Mon 12 June High of 73 rain and storms
Woke this morning around 8am. DH still had an upset tummy so we decided that DS and I would go to Universal ourselves today. We had breakfast and got the shuttle bus. Tropical storm Alberto was hanging around so it was raining when we arrived but it wasnt too bad.

We headed for Islands of Adventure, as we hadnt been to this park. Now the park is great if you like roller coasters and thrilling rides, but if youre a chicken like us or are not a fan of these rides then in my opinion this park doesnt have too much for you, we preferred Universal. The only ride we went on was Spiderman, I enjoyed this ride but I am a big chicken and I was nervous before we went on!! We had a walk round Islands of Adventure to have a look at the other attractions and then we headed over to Universal.

We went on Shrek 4D, this was a great attraction, not really a ride but more like an interactive movie. Then we headed over to Men In Black. DS went on this last week with DH and really enjoyed it so we went on it again. It was a 45 min wait but it was so worth it!! This was the best fide I have been on all holiday!
As the day went on the rain gradually got worse, we were soaked! DS wouldnt wear a poncho so neither did I (how bad would I have looked all nice and dry in my poncho and DS soaking wet!)
We went to NBA city again for lunch, this time we left enough room for dessert! We shared an ice cream sundae, thank goodness we shared one each would have been too much!
The rain was quite bad now and the shuttle bus was coming at 4pm so we decided to go back to the hotel, we had done everything we wanted to and I wanted to see how DH was.
Back at the hotel DH still wasnt quite right and hadnt really eaten all day. I had a nap for about an hour and then went to Pizza Hut to get pizza to share. The rain had stopped but we got a letter from the hotel advising us that the tropical storm is due to hit tomorrow and gave us some advice on what to do and which TV channels to look at to get up to date information. Apparently a state of emergency has been declared, its a bit worrying but we are being kept well informed.
