Avast, how much memory do you have (RAM)? How large is your virutal memory? What OS are you running and at what version? Have you flushed your cache lately? Run a disk clean-up? Defragged your hard drive?

no idea and nope and all i do know is DH has the computer do clean up defrag once a week. We don't keep our histories for longer then a day. I do clean the cache occassionally ( once a month maybe?) cookies and all that stuff. Thanks... i'll talk to you tonight.

I have my browsers set to empty the cache every time I close the browser. That may not be what you want to do depending on what else you use your browsers for. I only use mine for pages that I need to load each time I access them so it works great for me.
