The newest trend in crazy kid camps- Reunification camps for kids who reject a parent

For at least the last 20 years I keep reading about all sorts of behavior modification camps, what on earth is up with these things? Who is setting these things up and why are they allowed. They all seem unhinged.

These re-education centers always seem to be set up to force kids into complying with some adults idea of what or who they should be as if they aren't people with free will and every now and again there is a new theme.

The most recent version making big money I am reading about are "Reunification Camps" supposedly set up because any kid who does not adore both parents is assumed to be a victim of "Alienation Syndrome" and the victim of abuse on the part of the beloved parent assuming there is no legit reason to reject a parent. The courts intervene for kids who reject an sometimes abusive parent and are subjected to what seems to me to me some kind of mind control techniques to FORCE them to like the parent they do not want to be around and sometimes these parents are convicted of horrible crimes. The more I read about the newest kind the more they strike me as "Stockholm Syndrome Centers" where kids are being dragged through the mud unless they ignore how they feel and report that they have been restored and love the alienated sometimes abusive parent. I keep seeing the craziest stories out there bubbling up from Family Court.

Is there one group of loons setting these kid camps with different themes every few years? What is happening?

Some states have developed bills prohibiting these programs, but I have not read about how those bills fared or followed what happened.

I am familiar with an organization called Family Bridges. There are horrible stories out there of children being drug from their homes, forced into cars with strangers while screaming and resisting, and being taken to these camps because a judge ordered it. No loving parent would do this to their child and no judge with any standard of respect would order this to be done. Sorry, very sensitive topic for me as I'm part of a local FB group that has highlighted some of the children's stories.

I thought most states banned the whole idea after how the issue went on blast over trying to "manage"kids who came out.
