So sorry to hear about Teri's dad.

Sending lots of prayers and pixie dust their way.
Today (yesterday??) was a day off from work--so, I was only at the hospital for 1 hr (benefits meeting) + a visit to my MD's office, which is at the hospital, plus, when I got home, I spent several hours working on a list of employee phone numbers.
Tuesday night, after I got home, I was lucky enough to have a GEM award project to work on...for work.
You would think I was the only person on my floor with a computer at home. More likely, I'm the only one with both a computer and the word "Sucker" stamped across their forehead.
And, next week, it's time to start the holiday work schedule (at home, of course....). I hate doing this particular schedule more than any other. 99% if day shift wants off Christmas Day, while 99% of night shift wants off Christmas Eve. Day shift wants off New Years Day, while both night shift and evening shift want off New Years Eve. Then, there are some who want it all off...like me

. I just hate it--people get so upset, disappointed, angry, whatever, because they have to work. It's worse with the new employees. WHen they get a job at a hopsital, holidays are not the first thing they think about. Then, when the time comes and they are faced with the realization that we do work on holidays, they get upset, because everyone has a reason why they have to be off more than anyone else.
Ann--Hope you make it through DH's absence. Just focus on the homecoming.....
