I'm still mad at what some idiot on the CB said about mixed-heritage children. Swirls, indeed! Then, of course, some people got a little sensitive when I made a jab at Texas - go figure. There was a thread not too long ago about prejudice against the South - here I thought people would remember. Ah, well...not everyone thinks I'm funny.

Left a lot of windows open here at home - boy, did I have a rude awakening when we walked in late tonight...it's coooooolllddd out there! Had to turn the heat on for the first time tonight. Brrrrrrrr

It got pretty cool here too. I had the furnace on today for the first time for a little while. It was about 60 in the house when I got up this afternoon and would have been a little chilly getting out of the shower so on came the heat. I hated turning the heat on, it means fall really is here and then winter and I hate winter!!! I'm definitely more of a warm weather peron, especially at work since I prefer working outside on the deck to working inside the resturaunt big time.
Hope everyone has a great Tuesday- I'm spending my afternoon at the allergy doctor for "follow up and treatment evaluation". (I think they just want more of my money ).

Gail--Some idiots are just stupid. Best to ignore them, cause you sure can't teach 'em anything. Besides, he wasn't talking about your kids;I've seen them--they don't have swirls.

Turned on the furnace here yesterday morning. Way too cold for me.

hubby was working on our website and accidentally deleted that picture...i'm trying to find another one until he fixes it...

well, i tried to fix it...i tried to replace the picture with a wedding pic, but it wouldn't work right...the dimensions were all wrong or it was too fuzzy...so i found this one to put on there...it's not the same one that he had touched up and stuff, but at least it's not a red x anymore!!

Gail its not the isp...I don't think and I know I don't need a new computer ...its not the computer, its the users of the computer that don't know nuttin

I have these error messages pop up telling ne to fix them but I don't know how.....so I just close the message and my screen freezes, then I have to reboot. I'm sure its a minor thing to someone who knows how to fix them.

Thanks, Gail. I am too, in a way. It's hard to let go of old dreams.
It's hard to face reality and it's hard to realize that, even though things (or people) never change in our memory, IRL, they do age, gain weight, etc.
Why is it I knew I had changed physically, but, never expected old friends to do the same??

..........DH is packing and leaves in the morning for his hunting trip to Colorado

The focus of the big family mess has sort of shifted from what to do about a situation that one person seems to have fabricated (accusing someone else of something) to what to do about the person who fabricated it, who is apparently very very in need of mental health services.

Debbie, you are right, the soccer games are getting VERY chilly. Wore my winter jacket this afternoon and forgot the gloves....bbbrrrrrrrrrrrr

Good evening. It has been storming here most of the day - we are getting a cold front - okay I know what you all are thinking!! No it will not be cold here - but the temps will actually be about 5-10 degrees lower. No it is not suppose to get any cooler than 80 for the high. But hey it is a relief from 90 degree weather!! I wish it would be in the mid 70's for high, that is perfect for me.
