Welcome Baby James! And as someone else mentioned - no bad moments noted in the story. Both my girls have turned out wonderful, BF after some help from a consultant, and never had problems going between Mommy, bottles and pacifiers! It made life much easier.

I noticed that you said that using a paci helps him get sucking to nurse. If that starts to not do quite what you want it to, Daddy's middle finger might work well. It's shaped a bit differently, and that's the only thing that made Jacob want to nurse when he was a few days old.
