Hi all,

I've been scanning this thread a lot and have not found the answer yet, so I hope you can indulge a couple of Qs...

First, what would be my best strategy for Epcot? Would it be by bus, or can I get there by taking a boat to CR and then the Monorail?

Also, we're going in July... summer vets, tell me it's true that the Lodge feels 10 degrees cooler!! :sunny:

:cool1: :cool1:
Inside the lodge, it seemed a lot cooler, but our family forgot to bring sandals or light shoes to wear to the pool. It didn't take but one day and we made the bee line to the nearest store. The deck around the pool gets extremely hot! It was such a beutifull view watching the sun come up over the lake! Get up early one morning and catch it!

We just got back tonight from our first WL stay. I loved the WL! We had the best room. My kids loved the bunk beds. I felt very comfortable there. I do regret that we were unable to uprade to CL but our great view made up for it.

I was wondering if anyone has gone to WL with 5 in the room.

My kids will be 8, 6 and almost three.

Does having the bunk beds instead of 2 queens give you more room for a pack and play?

On the 7th floor (concierge), do any of the rooms have a king bed AND an inner courtyard view? If so, which rooms? thanks! :)

Not WL, but we did it last year at AKL, and I think the rooms are the same size. I would definitely go with the bunk beds, we did and it worked well, with just a bit more floor space. The pack'n'play fit just fine next to the tv cabinet at AKL. Our kids were 10, 9, and 1 at the time.

We had five three adults, four year old and a 1 year old. We had the 2QB. We put the crib in front of the connecting door next to the tv stand and the wall. It just fit, the spot must have been made that way :rotfl2:

The bunk beds would have to offer a little more room, but we didn't notice the tight space except room for our clothes/luggage.

I am glad you had a great time. We will be there soon. Would love to know more about your stay. What room you had, where you went to eat and play? Inquiring minds like to know. :earboy2:

Hi Debbie
We were in courtyard room 2121. This room had bunkbeds which did have rails around the top bunk so they were very safe. Our sliding glass door opened up to a small patio which was about 1 foot from the ground. I could walk to the creek that runs through the courtyard. It wa nice to be on the same level as the lobby as we never had to take an elevater and we were so close to everything. Our room was a litte noisy because many people had to pass it to get to the lobby or Roaring forks but it settled down around 9:30. WCC was okay the food really was not our style but it was prepared nicely but there were not many options that I liked on the menu. Roaring forks was decent for a quick bite. We really like the WL pool and you can watch the ewp from the beach. It was really cold during our trip and busy. We went the same time last year and it was dead. This is not the case this year. We went to BB 2 times and we had a blast. Our favorite meal was Ohana's for dinner. The window seats are the best. If you have any specific questions I would love to answer them for you or I could just ramble on all night.

Taratink, Glad you had a great trip! We will be at WL in March! Just a couple of questions?? :scratchin Did you by chance ask for CL up-grade at check-in?? Any tips for families with kids?? :wave2:

We have stayed 5 in a room for both 2Qs and 1Q/bunks...and bunks are definitely the way to go! It was a significant amount of extra walking space.

Does the bottom bunk bed have rails? Our five year old is a massive roller.

yes, I asked if any upgrades were available. The clerk made a call and there were none. The WL is a great family resort. What kind of kid info do you need? WL or restaurants or theme park info?
Tara :wave2:

Boswellnakia- The bottom does not have bed rails but you can request some from housekeeping. We had a set for my 3 year old.

Thanks soooo much, Beckie!! I've had no internet for the past 4-5 days. It's been killing me not yo come here and visit.

I'm finally going to stay at WL :cool1:  :Pinkbounc :cheer2: :cloud9: !!!! I really can't believe it!

Thanks to all of you here, especially: Kimmar, Majestic, Aspiring Cindy, Disneydmbnut, great gonzo, Hugh Jackman n' me, and of course, you Beckie.
I cannot wait to experience what you vets have raved about for as long as I've been here.

I still have a lot to do, and I have a 5:20 AM flight. I'll take pics, and get the specs for my room for Fred's project. I'll be thinking of all of my DIS friends, especially my WL buddies, while we are visiting my favorite place. . .WDW.

Have a safe trip!

hi everyone. I am 18 days away from our second stay at WL. I am wondering how I can set up a massage for DH. The kids will be entertained with the Pirate Cruise on our second to last day, and I was thinking I would set DH up with a massage at either WL or GF for the same time. Does anyone know how much this is? How long they are? Will he want to hit the parks after, or will he just wanna rest all day? (I have heard massages can be very relaxing...). Has anyone done this before? Any suggesstions would be appreciated. Also anyone know the price range for something like this?

Thanks in advance!!

My DH and I were at the WL right before Christmas. He had hurt his neck and shoulder a week before and it was making it hard for him to sleep and to get around. I called downstairs to Sturdy Branches around 9am to see how much messages were. We wound up booking a message for him at 10am that day and the cost was $75.00 for about an hour.

My DH said it was one of the best messages he had ever had. She had asked where he pain was and worked on those area a little more. After that he had no pain.

We wound up walking over to Ft. Wilderness for lunch and then walking back, so there would be no problem going to the parks. It was very relaxing but also very refreshing and energizing. Your DH will want to take a shower afterwards because she uses oils.

The CM at the desk of the Sturdy Branches said that the messages at the WL are a little less costly than that at the Gf.

Definitely book one for your DH and maybe one for yourself. I think they also did facials. :sunny:
