One last bit of business, though. Does anyone have a list of room #'s for the junior suites, with any recommendations?
We were on the 3rd floor last time on the short part of the building (between the wings) with a great view of the pool, and a partial view of the Bay. We'd love to try something higher, and have heard that some junior suites have great views of the Bay and the pool... and even the fireworks?
Lastly, what is the current best way/chance to request a specific room? Or is really not possible?

Frank
Sorry I don't have any of the room #'s for the Jr Suite...but another member of the DIS has just returned I'll post her remarks.

posted by mistaroo=Room 5166. We were offered one on the second floor but it did not have the direct bay view we wanted (it was only halfway down the wing). Seeing the electric water pagent from the room was important to us but trees blocked the views from many of the jr suites though. I feel lucky we got the room we did. One balcony was the cutout type, the other SRO balcony was the wrought iron.

Hope this helps I believe that the end of South Wing has the best views from a Jr. Suite.

WOW...the lounge looks great. Thanks for sharing the pics Fred...even if it makes me wish I was staying on the Concierge Level during my trip this November :teeth:

Scanned the thread but had one question I couldn't seem to find the answer to:

What's the best way to get from WL to Epcot for a morning EMH? The bus to the TTC is gone, yes?

So what's the fastest way?

Thanks

Is the bus the fastest way? We like to hit the park at least 30 minutes before opening... and I just couldn't remember the timing of the bus, how many stops, etc.

So we were wondering if it would be any faster to boat to the CR and then ride the monorail... or if we should consider driving.

If you don't mind walking a bit I would do boat to CR then MR to TTC to Epcot MR. We like to get out and about so the walking is nice for us.

If you just want to sit and take it easy, take the bus.

If you really need to get there fast, driving would be the obvious choice. :)

Most of all, try not to rush!! You're on vacation. Keep a loose schedule and you'll have much more fun.

Other then driving taking the bus is the quickest route to EPCOT, the busses start running early enough to get you there 30 min before opening but it depends on you getting to the bus stop. You would need to arrive at the bus stop @ WL an hour before park opening. (to arrive 30 min early)

Depending on time of year the bus @ Wilderness Lodge will share the route with either the Grand Floridian or the Ft. Wilderness Campground.

Alright....I have a courtyard view (which I really didn't want) rather have woodsview. September honeymoon stay. What are some quiet areas that I can request?

And what are the chances of being upgraded to honeymoon or concierge?

Thanks

Thanks Fred for the new pics of the updated lounge area. :love1:

...that you will be on your honeymoon, they might be able to arrange for SOMETHING nice. As far as being upgraded to concierge, you can ask if any complimwntary upgrades are being offered. If none are available, chances are, they MAY offer you an upgrade at at reasonable fee....good luck, and CONGRATS!

I am going with my father and an aunt and uncle to the WL in October. I want it to be a special trip for Dad - my mother died of cancer almost 2 years ago and he has met someone. The plan was that we would be celebrating their marriage, but Dad is now thinking he may ask her to marry him on the trip.
Anyway, I have made our reservations - 3 rooms, courtyard view - but am thinking it would be nice for everyone to do concierge. However, my TA said the WL doesn't have concierge. Will it be ready by the end of Oct.? Can we still get a courtyard view? Is concierge worth the expense?
Thanks for any helpful advice or answers!
:wave2:

did your TA mean no concierge available during your visit?? try asking for club level. Yes, there is one, and its located on the 7th floor. Haven't been since the new renovations, but it is wonderful.

Where exactly are the bus stops located at Epcot for the WL. I remember on one trip in 2000 we were staying at the CBR and the stops took forever to walk to when it was hot :faint: and we were tired. When we walked out the front gate to the bus stops, the WL bus was always sitting right there. I made the comment to my kids that the next time we stay at WDW we are staying deluxe. We have been over the last 3 years but stayed at the Epcot resorts and used the boat service so we never went out the front entrance. Are the stops still out front??

At EPCOT as you approached the bus stops from the park there is a large information board, always verify the location assigned to Wilderness Lodge this way you won't be standing at the wrong stop.

When you arrive at EPCOT the bus driver will tell you the bus stop # but always check the information board to be sure. (They do change bus stop locations for the resorts frequently)

OK that being said, for the last year as you approach the information board the Wilderness Lodge bus stop has been to the left, second stop down the walkway. I'm not 100% but I think it's stop # 5 but please don't rely on that. (I'm old and my memory is not what it use to be) Always check with the information board or a man in the PURPLE-PANTS (bus driver)

Have a great trip.

Opps Just saw your last question. Yes ::yes:: the bus stops are located at the front of EPCOT past the Monorail Station. (As your leaving left of the station)
