I just can't wait, we leave Saturday for our first stay at WL. I just have a quick question, to clarify - do I have to call for a fridge, and coffeepot? Does anyone know what kind of coffee pot it is - I mean, do I need the individual packs, or just coffee and filters? Thanks, I hate to have to drag my mini pot down there!

Have a wonderful trip! I don't know how far they are at adding the fridges & coffee pots to all the rooms. If your's does not have them, just call housekeeping. They will bring them to you.

Hi, all the rooms at the lodge now have the coffeepots in place, the room is set-up with one regular/one decaf prepackaged coffe packs, four cups and a small package with two sugars and powdered cream. The pots are 4 cups which means after you brew you may have 2-3 cups. The coffee is resupplied each morning by Mouseskeepers.

After you are in the room call down for the fridge, they will bring it if available.

Have a GREAT TRIP.

Hello all!!

I'm confused now...

Bunk bed rooms AREN'T standard rooms? Does this mean that they are woods/courtyard rooms? Where are they located in terms of floors & smoking preference?? :confused3

Any help clarifying this would be greatly appreciated...

From page 1, first post...
STANDARD ROOMS: All Non-Smoking rooms with 2 Queen Beds.
Located on Floors 4,5 & 6. On the North(MK) side, they face the service area. There are also 4th floor rooms that overlook the lobby and look out to roof peaks.

Yes ::yes:: Bunks beds are located in Woods/Courtyard Rooms.
Smoking optional rooms are located on the sixth floor North Wing.

Anyone know if they ever discount the "DELUXE ROOMS"???
I have recieved a discount of a DELUXE ROOM, but there are only a few of these rooms so...it may be hard to get.

the standard rooms on floor 6 north side - do they have enclosed balconies? or is that only with some of the inner courtyard rooms 6th floor? are all the rooms on the north side up to the wing considered standard?

on the south side - are there standard rooms on the 5th & 6th floors? how far up to the wing are those standard rooms?

Several pages back there was mention of a new concierge lounge coming to the Lodge, does anyone know if this is still planned and if/when concierge service may be interupted for construction?

We just returned back from the WL Concierge (2/13-2/19) although no work has begun, there are 2&3 men crews measuring and marking walls and carpet areas. It was not disruptive to us or the lounge area. The CM said they were going to be doing some updating in the coming months... but that is all.

No

Not just courtyard views also some wood views.

No

Yes.
How far up to the wing are those standard rooms?
I'm not sure maybe someone else can answer.

thanks - do only the 4th fl rooms on south side look directly at the roof peaks? are the 5th/6th floor rooms actually higher than those peaks?

I have seen these 4th fl rooms that look directly at the roof peaks so I kinda know what to expect - in that case I think Id use the front porch that I believe is on that floor? is that front porch actually on the 4th floor?
noone was out there when i walked out on it

For those of you interested, Erika has started posting her trip report on that board. She had a "magical" check-in experience at the WL. Check it out!!

Not sure about all the views of the Standard Rooms on the South side of the Lodge...I will just tell you that, I always try to book Standard Room View unless not available, (then I book woods view) I have only stayed in a Standard Room once but was upgraded to Concierge North Wing (great view of WISHES and MK) I have only received a Woods View once, (booked standard) I usually go during off peak times so I'm sure this is the reason more then just luck that I have been upgraded. I had to book Courtyard last Dec (waited a little late for reservations) I have enjoyed each room I've stayed in and any room at the Lodge is OK by me.

The large porch/veranda is locted on the 4th floor and offers wonderful views, just not of the Magic Kingdom.

Have a Great Trip.

Simple question, where is WL? I've stayed at GF & Contemporary, and I know where Poly is. I've never seen WL. Thinking of changing rezs from Dolphin to WL for an April trip. I now think we'll spend more time at MK, and I know it must be a boat ride away. Please answer, thanks.

WL is about a 10 to 15 minute boat ride to MK. WL is one of the MK resorts and is located on the lake just outside MK main entrance. Looking at a map its about half way between Fort Wilderness Campground and MK and while it doesn't have a Monorail stop its not far from the monorail track and is between Contemporary and Polynesian.

After you drive through the MK parking plaza you will keep to the right (just like you do when traveling to the Poly or GF) at the light (Seven Seas Drive on left) instead of turning left and going by TTC you will turn right (Timberline Drive on the right) the next stop is Wilderness Lodge.

I won`t be going till Dec `06,but I am doing research now. It`s alot of fun!!!My question is what have other people paid for the first week of Dec. at the lodge? It will be my wife and five year old(she wants bunk beds).I just want to get an idea of what other people have paid. And if anyone has any WL hints pricing wise. Thanks to all and I love this site!!! :bounce: :bounce:  :bounce: :bounce:
