OPPS, Important Information.

I just remembered from my stay last week... Wilderness Lodge now has coffee makers with coffee in every room, they had coffee/cups but no sugar & cream may have been in the works but I was happy to receive the coffee maker. (4cup) So no need to call for one any more. I also asked about the refrigerators they have been ordered and should be placed in each room before the end of February...Not 100% about the date so don't get upset if it takes longer, but they are in the works.

Hi all,
I am new to this board and have just read the entire thread (all 46 pages of it)!!! Thanks to you all for the hard work and effort ya"ll have put into this! I have only been to Disney once (last year in Feb.) LOVED IT!! Went with DH, DD5 and DS 7. Stayed at ASM. We are lucky enough to live in south La. so will be off one week for Mardi Gras. Will be at Dis Feb 6th-10th. Got Woods view at WL for 138.00 per night.
Now my Mother wants to come with us as this may be the only time she can go with her grandchildren. I do not want to change resorts as I think I am in love with WL without ever visiting. What would be my best room options? Can she stay in our room with us? We don't mind being crowded..My kids sleep with me at home most of the time anyway!! Would she be allowed to stay in our room? Try Deluxe?? seems pricey and not sure we could swing it.. Any help would be greatly appreciated..

I have only stayed on property once and it was WL. I love the resort. That time, all five of us (one infant, 3A, 1C) squeezed into one room. This time we will have 1infant, 5A and 1C. I currently have two rooms reserved with a AAA rate.

Do I have any other realstic options?

I thought about renting points for the VWL, would (2) studios or (1) 2br be a comparative possibility?

Could any other resort handle our group more efficiently?

DH just gave me the GREEN LIGHT to go ahead and start planning our next Disney vacation!!!

His only rules, we HAVE to stay at WL, and we HAVE to have the meal plan
Rules I have no problem with of course

He told me we could go at the end of 2005, or maybe in Jan/Feb of '06.
I am kind of leaning towards Feb 06, simply to try going in cooler weather (we usually go in late Sept, and it is hot!)

So, a few questions for you. If I book now for 2006, I will be charged the 2005 rates right?Or do they have 06 rates out? And if the rates go up by chance for 06, I will be locked in right?

Also---any Feb lovers out there? Tell me your experiences.

I would imagine that the 2005 rates would be quoted to you for the Feb time-slot. We have stayed at DxL in Feb during Prez Week and it seems like that week (3rd week in Feb) was the 'turning point' as far as weather goes. At least, I sure hope so, since we will be arriving this year on Feb 19th!!

Finally, a question I know the answer to, LOL. You can book now for 2006, and will be initially charged 2005 rates. When the 2006 rates are released, however, probably in June, your rate will be adjusted. You cannot "lock in" the previous years' rates by booking early.

I updated the pics on my site. Do you guys think that they are too big or too small? The original pictures were 2500x1200 resolution but for web purposes they are shrunk down to 800x600.

I personally like the larger ones cause they are nice and detailed.

This is the airport lounge ;keep you all in our hearts while we will be visiting with HUMPHREY's French cousin !!!!!!!!!!!

Ya...YA .......... I know, this isn't WL........... but it's 2 hours by plane from Italy !!!!!!!!!!!
This resort we are going to is called SEQUOIA LODGE , it resembles somehow our LOVED WL ...........it's themed on the national parks of US ........... with lots of PD I'll think of WL and ALL of you !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Morning Lodgers and Happy Second Day of the New Year. Hope all of you have an amazing 2005. Checked out llrain's pictures and they are wonderful. Took me right back home to the Lodge.
I hope that Humphrey's French cousin is doing well, tell him we said Bon Jour. and have a grand time in Paris.
Made reservations for the free wheelin land sea tour/package/group/whatever
yesterday and I'm trying not to look at my countdown clock and think "Woo Hoo! Just X number of days until I can be seasick for 4 whole days!"
Never been on a cruise and I have been reassured by many that cruising is different from Atlantic Ocean fishing expeditions with my husband and his brothers, also known as the " Hey, watch this! " gang. I grow weary of being referred to as the best navigational tool ever, "Yup, we must have left the intercoastal waterway cause Kathi's gone green."
I am pretty excited, been reading up on the things to do and see. This'll be our first stay at the AKL, the WL was not offered, and I'm looking forward to exploring that area. This will be our first trip alone in 27 years. No kids, no grandkids, no in-laws or outlaws. Whatever will we do?
Hope all of you with winding down countdown clocks have bunches of fun and that those without countdown clocks are able to post one soon!

I personaly love your photo's some of the best I've ever seen. You have managed to photo areas that most people miss completely, but every detail goes into the feeling of the lodge. Please...your .02 cents are a welcome addition to the WL community. I have already refered several newbies to take a look at your photo's as it will give them a better perspective of the Lodge. Keep-up the great work and post a link in your signature so more people will have the web site. (more please)

On a personal note: How did everything go on your trip? Did you complete your mission? What villa did you stay-in? Questions, questions.

Too funny, I too will be taking my first cruise next year, it's all MICKEY'S DREAMERS doing. Laura & Marco go each year and after watching some of their vedio from the cruise last year we have decided to join them. I'll pray for you, if you pray for me...I'm worried I'll be with seasickness.

You'll love the AKL we have stayed there several times, one of my goals is to stay Concierge and do the Sunrise Safari.
