Sorry, if this is already posted here- I did not have time to read the whole thread. I thought I already knew the answer to this question- Do the rooms have refrigerators. I just read another post somewhere else that said all deluxes have refrigerators except WL is this true? It does not make sense to me, I thought all deluxes and moderates had refrigerators installed this past fall? We are going in February and I was really counting on a refrigerator. Thanks Lynda

Wilderness Lodge "does" have refrigerators. Make a note on your reservation asking for one. If there still isn't one in your room after checkin, just call mousekeeping and ask to have one sent up.

HEY EVERYONE! I got some homework for yas.

Please take a look at my Balcony View folder in the Wilderness Lodge Photo Gallery (click the link in my signature!!) and if you have pictures of a room that are not there, mail them over to me at wdwwl@majesticnetworks.net so I can add them. The Balcony View database really helps people when trying to select a room or wing.

One day, if I can ever find the time, I will try to get my Room Database project going again. My plan would be to let you search for rooms and click the room number to see the balcony view. It's just so much work and I can't seem to find the time. It will get done someday.

Are Glen and Jerry still on the WL concierge staff or did they move on. They weren't there Dec 13 - 19.

I posted a thread on changes to WL concierge food offerings (they added beer to the evening snack among other things)

Never knew Jerry at least I don't think so. Glen has moved on to a management position of some type at the giant toaster(Contemporary). Eek!

Glen was a really nice guy. I can honestly see that he will go far with the Walt Disney Company.

I know that Daisy, Miguel, Jack, and Mark are still there along with a few other new famoly members.

Looking forward to our return in January.

Thanks for the info about requesting the refrigerator. I am sooo excited that we finally get to stay at WL. My DH and I stayed at FW cabins for our honeymoon (Sept 1993) and WL was just being built and I said at that time that one day we would stay there. Yahoo!!!! I have just a few more questions- we are planning on going to FW to the campfire (smores-yum) and movie. How far of a walk is it from the boat dock at FW to the campfire, I need to know if I have to bring the stroller for our son? Also, we have a courtyard view room booked-I'm guessing a MK view is out of the question, I am more worried about noise. Do any of these rooms overlook the lobby or are most of them overlooking the pool area? Thanks for any info you have. This is a great thread and I look at it every day to get in the mood for our trip. Merry Christmas to everyone! Lynda

It's not too far but I would bring the stroller either way. At least you can put him down if he falls asleep.

MK view for a courtyard room is not possible.

As for noise, most courtyard rooms are not on the lobby so you won't hear much noise at all. One thing I have always liked about WL is that you can get some peace and quiet at this resort. Go up as high as you can where floors are concerned.

Don't forget to rub Humphrey's nose in the totem pole at the mercantile.

Merry Christmas everyone! We got back from WDW late Wed night (12/23). Didn't stay @ WL this time but that was one of the 1st places we visited! The decorations were as lovely as everyone has said. We rubbed Humphrey's nose and had a Magical 5 days! Can't wait to go back!

HI! I'm a newbie here, I haven't had a chance to read the whole thread. I'm planning a pre-Christmas trip for December 2005 and I think WL would be the nicest place to stay. I need advice about what type of view or room to request. I just want to ensure that I get a balcony and that I don't get a view of the parking lot. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Does the WL conceirge level have its own wall enclosed lounge? Or is the stuff set up at the end of a hall or something. I think I read somewhere that there was not a regular lounge there. Set me straight please.
