What time do we need to be at the boat dock to make the 9am opening at the MK?

Thanks!

I had heard that the lobby stream was suppose to be working again today. I'll be at the WL on Wed and home next week so I'll be sure to post my findings.

I think the outside work is going to take longer- I had heard by Thanksgiving they hoped to be scaffold free.

Tahnk you in advance and enjoy your trip.

Just when I think I've been to the WL too many times to have any questions...

I recieved an e-mail from the planning people (IPO) asking if I had any requests for my 11/2 -11/9 2006 stay on the Concierge level

I responded last Friday (10/13) with some questions - and one dining request and I haven't heard back yet.

I have always done my own planning - even when we stayed on the Concierge/Club level before - I am concerned that they never received the email

Would a follow-up email with my previous email attached be considered rude? Is it too soon - I was hoping for an email saying "we received your email and will get back to you soon" by now

I'm a control freak... I keep saying "relax Lisa - they're taking care of it"

any thoughts?

Okay, I need help! I am going on a solo trip from Dec. 11-16 with my 3 year old son. The cost between WL and POR for those 5 nts. is ~750 dollars. I would not be planning on spending the extra money (we just stayed a week at the BC last mo.), but want something easy and I have heard SOOOO many good things about the WL (especially at x-mas). Do you guys think the extra money is worth it? It's not that I don't have it, was just wondering if there was a better use for the difference that close to x-mas.
I guess I am feeling a little selfish about going on this big trip (without DH cause he has to work), but it will be my last trip before I get out of grad school and get a "real" job. Will my 3 year old enjoy the lodge as much as I would?
Oh, one other thing to point out, DS still takes naps in the middle of the day and I keep thinking about having that Courtyard balcony to sit out on and relax.

THANKS!!!!!!!!!!

Julieh22

My son loves the Lodge - and it's so convenient to the Magic Kingdom... the boat is like another ride - as opposed to just a way to get to the rides (for that matter the busses were cool to him when he was that age...)

I have never stayed at POR so I can't compare - but the Lodge - with the inside hallways and Lobby seem a perfect choice for a parent going solo with a child. And you're right about the balcony at nap-time

I would send a follow up email the WL/poly IPO foes get busy they all do but I am surprised you have not heard back from them

Thank you Lisa. I guess I am feeling guilty about spending the money at chirstmas when most of my family is not as luck as I am and can't even go to WDW (I have invited them to go with me, but they can't). I keep telling myself that my son is only young once and we should make great memories now while we can.
I believe I overanalyze everything too much!

On a great note, I was able to reserve us a sleigh ride one night that we are there!!!

How is the cell phone service at the lodge? Any signal problems (specifically with Verizon)?

Just found out today that I need to be available for an important phone call while we're at the World. Thankfully it's coming on a day we were going to relax at the lodge anyway.

Just wondering if I should have a plan B if cell service is spotty.

We've never had a problem with our verizon cell phones at WL

We never had a problem with our Verizon service anywhere at WDW. I got a few phone calls over our vacation and never had a drop. It was fun being able to say "Sorry, I'm in line for Astro Orbiter right now ... I'll call you back in two weeks."

Hi Lisa,

It took WL IPO 4 days to respond to my ADR request (Sent it on 10/2 and got an email from Lynne on 10/6. . .I made all my other ADRs), and I thought it was taking too long, too. Since this was my first experience with CL, I thought this was normal. Anyway, they did respond. Maybe you'll get something a little later today. Good Luck!

LOL I just sent a gentle questioning email... I couldn't help myself. Thanks for the response. I didn't expect everything to be resolved - more of a "we got your email!"

I think I am just getting excited - it's just over 2 weeks away!

Have any of you gotten the concierge level at WL? Is that the Old Faithful Club?

Any insights on if it's worth it for 2 adults?

We might make a 1-night trip to WL in Nov or Dec to check out the Christmas decorations. We won't be going to the parks - just hanging out at the hotel.

Okay.... my concern over the WL vs. a mod. resort is over (I think) hee hee...
I changed my travel dates by one day (sun-fri) and was able to find a woods view room on the special package price and it's going to save me around $160!!! I am so excited because a woods view was what I had wanted from the beginning! YEAH!!!!!

lisadam: No problem :). Did you hear anything yet :listen: ?

I have some questions about the WL Sleigh Rides:

1) What are they (Is it really a sleigh)?

2) Where do you go/ what is the path?

3) Any more details you can give?

Considering doing this since it is our 4-Year Anniversary Trip  .

Thanks in advance!

It is a horse drawn sleigh. The pick-up point is in front of the Wilderness Lodge. The ride lasts approximately 30 minutes and is $35.00. The sleigh seats either 4 adults or 2 adults and 3 children. The charge is for the half hour - not per person. The dates are December 1st through December 30th. The first ride is 5:30PM and every half hour with the last ride at 9:30pm. The path, I believe, is from The Wilderness Lodge through the wooded area to Ft. Wilderness. A blanket is provided for the cooler nights and you can bring a beverage. I've also heard you have the choice for quiet or holiday music.

Reservations can be made by calling 407-WDW-Play.

I hope this helps. Also, if anyone knows more details or if any of mine are incorrect, please correct me. :santa:

DH and I are going to do this for the first time this year.
