Please tell me that I can still purchase a WL mug. I would like to have one for each of the resorts where we stay. I know the universal mug is nice but I want a wilderness lodge mug.

They don't have them anymore. :sad2:

I have heard that you can't. However, check in the gift shop for WL stuff. When I stayed there last time, we got a magnet/picture frame. Also, they had lots of PJ's, shirts, etc. I bet they will have a mug, it just may not be the refillable kind. I still have mine from the last trip. I don't even put it in the dishwasher, I hand wash it. I know it may be my last one.:sad1:

Sorry if this has already been asked, but we are thinking of heading over to FW for the sing along with Chip n Dale and eating at the chuckwagon. I understand that we can take a boat there and back but once I get off the boat at FW, how do we get to the campfire singalong? It looks like it is far away from the boat dock on the map. Also, what time does the Chuckwagon open? Thanks so much!

65 ish is correct. I had the exact quote from Stan in an article I had published and can't seem to find it at this minute.

Yikes! So there is no elevator that takes you up there? :scared1: I know there is a very small remote chance that we could even be picked while we are there, but I would hate for it to happen and then have a heart attack trying to climb them LOL.

Anyone have any pics?

I'm wondering this, too. I'm pretty sure that you take either the boat or a shared WL/FW bus to FW. Then FW has internal buses. They dropoff near the boat dock/restaurant, near the campfire, and near the checkin/main bus stop area. You would just hop one of those buses to get to the campfire after you arrive via boat. Does that make sense? I'm sure someone will correct me if I'm wrong. There is also a nice FW board over in the Camping section of the DIS.

I confirmed.....66 steps! These steps are the ones to the roof opening and then to the top section of the roof where the flags are. Don't worry, Ranger Stan will take you at your pace. We did it and had a blast. Well worth any struggle.

It's definately not 150 stairs. 65 might be about right -- you get off the elevator on the 7th floor and then go through a door and up a long flight of stairs, turn and up some more before exiting to the outer roof level. You turn again and walk some open-grate type stairs (only a few) until you're on the inner-roof.

Makes perfect sense! Thank you

We did the campfire sing a long about 3 weeks ago now. The above information is correct. We took the boat to the bus. Right off the boat walking distance is the BBQ and Hoop Dee Doo Review, but you will need to take a bus (or golf cart to the campfire).
On the way back though, the boat stops at the Contemporary and then the Lodge...

What time do you have to be up in order to do this? Most of our breakfast ressies are at 7:30 or 8:00 in the morning...the kids and DH (an avid photographer with a Digital SLR camera) would love to do this.:woohoo:

Hi everyone! :flower3:

I was hoping someone could help me with a question about the deluxe rooms (jr suites). I understand that these rooms sleep 6. Are they big enough for 4 adults and 2 small children? I am in the very early stages of planning a Christmas 2008 trip.:santa: We are traveling with family and would love to be able to stay in the same room. Especially since we will be celebrating Christmas together at Disney! My main concerns are the size of the room and the fact that it has only one bathroom. I wish we could afford a 2 bedroom at the villa's but that is out of our budget. So, are the rooms large enough that we would be comfortable and not cramped? We usually don't spend a lot of time in the room. Maybe a few hours in the evening. Or would it be better to book separate rooms and hope we end up close to one another? Any info you have on the deluxe rooms would be great. Thanks!

I am curious about these suties as well. Several months ago when I booked our next trip 12/9-12/15 I was considering this for us. Hubby and I and 4 young adult children (23, 21, 19 and 18). The one bathroom is what really scared me off of booking this suite. We did book a two bedroom Villa instead. But I don't remember the price difference being terribly huge. I hope everything works out for you. The WL is an incredible place to stay. We do consider it our Disney home. So much so that we are looking into purchasing a DVC there.

Awesome! Thanks for checking this!:goodvibes

If there are 3 adults in a room would a rollaway be an option? Anyone know the addtional adult guest cost and the rollaway fee per day?
Nope, sorry no rollaway beds are available @ Wilderness Lodge...:confused3 ...there just isn't enough room for one in the rooms.

Does the blue flag boat run until 10pm in slow season? I wasn't sure if it runs all year until that time. I wanted to make ADR's for the California Grill and was trying to figure out what the latest time would be so that we could take the boat from the CR back to the WL.

Yes ::yes:: the Blue Flag Resort Boats operate daily from 7:00am till 10:00pm

That's a hard question to answer...I have stayed in the Deluxe rooms several times with 4 adults and two children, while it was a little cramped we managed just fine. Now that Club Level is included with the deluxe rooms I say book it and have fun...for additional information on the Deluxe Rooms see my post on page 1.

Aw, too bad about the rollaway - CBR is 4 ft smaller, but a rollaway is allowed there (we've had one a few times) as well as French Quarter.

Furniture is quite large at WL so maybe takes up more room...but then again, it is large at CBR too. LOL

Oh, well, it is good to know..thanks so much!!! :)
