We just got back on Sunday from our 8 might stay at the Lodge. It was out 1st time and it was magical!!! pixiedust:

We stayed in room #4022 and could see the fireworks (some obstructed) each night.

I just wanted to thank those on thie message board for all thier good advice, we learned so much from you and that made the experience much better.

If anyone has any questions..just ask, and I'll try and answer them.

We are going back to the Wilderness Lodge for the second time in a yr-- must be the pixiedust. This time we are staying in a woodsview bunk bed room. In January we were a standard room and got upgraded at check in to a courtyard south side room which we loved!
I really don't want to spend the extra money to request a courtyard room bunk bed this time.
I was thinking that the woodsview northside rooms would have a nice view and we would be closer to the dock and Roaring Forks.
Has anyone stayed tin the woodsview bunk bed rooms since the renovation and would you let me know what your view was. I would appreciate it.

HI All!

I am wondering for those of you that have done the Flag Family, is it difficult to do if you are not in the best shape? I have a lot of stamina for walking, but don't do stairs very well because of a bad knee(not real bad but sometimes hurts when weather changes). I know DS would LOVE to try to do this as he is a Scout, but I just don't want to kill myself getting up there. :rotfl: Any opinions would be appreciated on this!

Ok so I am just being lazy:lmao: but had a questioned and didn't feel like going through all these pages. We are traveling down from NC the night before check-in and will be arriving at the WL probably around 8:00 am. Can we check-in then and get our tickets?

Thanks for all the help!

Yes ::yes:: you may. The earliest I have checked-in was 7:00am even made it to Early Magic Hour with no problem.

They don't make you climb up 7 flights of stairs, you will take the elevator up to the 7th floor then you take the steps to the roof.

Of course there are several steps from the 7th to the roof but Ranger Stan does it all the time and he does have some knee problems. Of course, his heart is bigger than his knee problems!!

Hi everyone!!! :wave2:

I just switched from the Poly to the WL yesterday for our upcoming trip to WDW Dec 7-16. We are staying @ AKL Dec 5-7. We are VERY excited about staying @ the WL and I don't plan on switching resorts again.

Yesterday when I was on the phone with the CM changing my ressie, I asked her if she would please put a request in for an inner courtyard view and that I realized it was just a request. She told me that the concierge rooms were all standard rooms and they did not have inner couryard views. I thought that they could be a view of anything??? :confused3

I don't think she put in my request. Is she right or should I call back and speak to someone else to have this request put on my ressie?

I'm making my way through this thread trying to read up on all the great stuff about the WL. :)

Yes ::yes:: she is correct, all the rooms are Standard Club other than the suites.

You will be receiving a call or E-Mail from the Wilderness Lodge IPO very soon, when you send your request back just ask that they assign you a room with a Inner Courtyard View overlooking the main pool. This will only be a request but I'm sure they will try to accommodate your request if possable.

Great! Thanks so much. I wasn't sure if I had to send them an email first or not, but I will wait to hear from them.

Hi there Everyone,

I wonder if someone can tell me if the Wilderness Lodge has connecting rooms (2 rooms with a door in between). We are going with my in-laws and would like to get a Woods View connecting room, but is this possible?

Thanks for the info! :goodvibes

Yes the lodge does have connecting rooms that have Wood Views but they are a request, not guaranteed when your group has more then two adult guest. They try and assign familys with children in the connecting rooms first.

Hi Everyone,
I was wondering if anyone knows what we might see with our view at the WL. We have booked courtyard view - bunk beds. Are the bunk bed rooms all together in the resort? Does anyone have a guess as to what floor they might put us on?
Thanks!!!

I have the same view booked for our upcoming trip. I don't think the bunkbed rooms are in one location, they are spread out. I called yesterday to request an inner courtyard facing bay lake, that way if I get my request, it will be a view of the pool and of bay lake. I read on this site that you should say "facing bay lake" not "view of bay lake. HTH!

Thanks for the info vassar36!

By chance, did you take any pictures of the room? If you did, can you post them? :goodvibes

Thanks again for the info! :thumbsup2

we just got back from WL CL, and I had made a request...and I did not receive it, so I asked for a different room and eventually got what I wanted. So even though it WAS available, they DIDN'T originally give it to me. (and yes, I know, it was just a request... ) So, if you don't get what you ask for, ask again at check-in, and you still might get it. :thumbsup2

Does anyone know what hours the marina is open to rent the Sea Racers? This would be for December, if that makes a difference. Thanks!
