Has anyone gone up the stairs by WCC and sat by that fireplace in that cozy little nook? We found this last trip and thought it was relaxing!

We had no problem adjusting the thermostat to whatever temperature we wanted. We set it around 70 when we got into the room, 72 to sleep, then 75 when we woke up. I never tried anything colder.

We also had no problem putting it to what we wanted. I don't think it shut off either.

After going from Courtyard view to standard CL at WL, and then to VWL...lol..I am back:) Dh said yes to DVC so I know God willing I will be able to enjoy VWL someday:)
So, is it ok to ask abt Artist Point here? Any thoughts? With a 14 mth old at the time and food offerings in CL, I am thinking just doing two TS dinners, 1 at CG and the other Artist Point.

She is very well behaved and enjoys dining:) lol

That is probably my favorite place in the resort! Passing thru the doors on the way up reminded me it was still June in Florida, then you hit that nook and you're 1000's of miles away. Shhhh! Don't tell anybody.

WDW Resort had a Free Dining promotion with a Magic Your Way package for stays from end of August through almost end of Sept..I believe the offer ended on the 24th.
Not just at WL...value, Moderate and deluxe

Also, does anyone know if the Standard view at the WL is still on the north side of the building with balconies facing the service area, hence also facing MK?
Thanks

Sorry for the delay in answering - we were talking among ourselves. Shhh, y'all! There's company!

In addition to what you mention, there are also standard view rooms above the lobby with balconies that face south over rooftops.

Stole this from another thread: Here's a bird's eye view of the WL
http://maps.live.com/default.aspx?v=2&cp=nr1cbh8623g5&style=o&lvl=1&til t=-90&dir=0&alt=-1000&scene=3930021&encType=1

acellison - look to the lower left and you will see the standard view rooms that look over rooftops.

All - you can change which angle you look at the lodge by clicking on a different direction arrow in the little box. Looking west gives you a view of what the lodge would look like parasailing above the lake.

Let's see if this works....

Perfect! There you go!

thanks, i wish i could use it!

I use a Mac, and while I haven't been able to get it to work with Safari, I have been able to get it to work with the Firefox browser. You can get it at http://www.getfirefox.com. When you use Firefox to browse out to http://maps.live.com, close the window that pops up trying to install the 3D software. Then type in "Disney World" into the "Enter city, address, or landmark" box. From there, you'll get a typical map view. To switch to the other view, just click on the "birds eye view" button in the little box with the scrollbar and the 2D/3D tabs. That'll switch you into the view you're seeing above. Then it's just a matter of grabbing the map and moving it to scroll it around to whatever part of WDW you want to see!

(Posted instead of PM'd in case anyone else was having the same problem. PM me if you have any troubles, and I'll try to help.)
