A concierge level question...Next month I'm booking for the first week of Dec of '08. We are planning CL level. Now, if I book CL am I guaranteed CL? I know you can't choose the room (everytime I've tried I've been skunked) but I assume CL is guaranteed.

Thank you, thank you, thank you! I knew I wasn't crazy, and yet when you're told "no, there are no woods view rooms above the lobby", you start to think maybe you're nuts. And actually, it was verified today exactly what you told me, there are indeed a few of those rooms. And my ressies are made for September ..... Very Excited in our house.......

So thank you again for your help guys. I really appreciate it. You'll be "seeing" a lot of me for the next 6 months I'm sure!

:scratchin Ok lodgers..I have another question I forgot to ask earlier. I know that at least part of the lodge was remodeled recently, the concierge level I know, but does anyone know if other rooms/floors were redone?

Yes, ::yes:: almost everything is completed, all new carpet's through out the resort, common areas and guest rooms. New furniture, new TV's, new vanities, even new shower curtain rods. New chairs and table on the balconies. Just about everything that could be updated has been completed.

Your going to have a great trip.

Hello fellow WL lovers! We have a courtyard bunk bed room booked for our May trip. I have requested an inner courtyard view near the lake. Does anyone know if the bunk bed rooms are all together on one floor or in a certain section or are they randomly placed on different floors at different locations? I don't even know if there are bunk bed rooms available where I have requested to be.

Anna
Yes ::yes:: if you book concierge you are guaranteed Concierge unless there is a major disaster.

I did hear that some of the rooms were redone and that there are flat screen televisions in them. I don't know how far they got. Does anyone know if the pool has been finished and what the new changes are?

Anyone know the travel time to epcot and is it true we share a bus with GF and Poly? Are the rides back to the resort long in the evening and will be sitting or standing?

This is my Favorate thread. Beckie, you are my new best friend  Thanks again.

I think the pool is scheduled to be finished in April. I was wondering if all the rooms were refurbished also.

:yay: That is good to hear! Last time we were there, I'm sorry to say...things were lookin a bit shabby in spots! But Lodge Lovers that we are.....we are going back. I can't wait for all "my boys" to be sitting in one of the little nooks at night, laughing, and having a midnight hot cocoa. I'm so glad to hear they are redoing the pool also. I must say that the AKL pool was the best, and I will miss that. Anyone know what they are doing with the pool in WL?

I was told when I made my reservation that they pool was being cleaned and refurbished, but nothing new was being added.

We are going to be staying on site for the first time in early May. Will the pool be finished by then? How late can you swim and use the hot tubs?

Thanks you wonderful Lodge Lovers!

First, all the rooms have been redone and have been for quite a while - they look great!

Also, I'd put up pool photos from today. It's looking like it is coming along a bit quicker.

Just received our confirmation for our reservation at WL. On the confirmation sheet it list Courtyard View with (JC) to the side? Anyone know what the JC means?

JC means courtyard view. Every resort has those codes, I think the first letter is for which resort and the second letter is for the room (view) type. Does this make sense?

Found a post from HumphreyBear:

"Just wanted to elaborate a little more even though the question was answered... Each hotel has a "Hotel code" The Wilderness Lodge is "J" (Villas at Wilderness Lodge is "X") this differntiates the hotels for Central reservations when they are booking, as well as for night auditing and such. Then the run the categories A- whatever for any given hotel. For example at WL:

JA- Standard view
JB- Woods View
JC- Courtyard View
JD- Concierge
JH- Honeymoon Suite
JP- Presidential Suite
JS- Deluxe room
JV- Vice Presidential

Were as at the Villas it is:
XA-studio
XB-1 bedroom
XC-2 bedroom (dedicated)
XL-2 bedroom (when a studio and 1 bedroom are combined)...

Hope that makes more sense for you as to what the crazy coding means."

Thanks for the complement. :rotfl:

About the bus routes: There always seems to be a few changes whenever I have visited. For the most part they are alway the same. The buses @ Wilderness Lodge usually share with Ft. Wilderness Campground. During Off-Season they may change routes due to load demand.

EPCOT-The bus will arrive at Wilderness Lodge first then will stop at Ft. Wilderness Campground @ the Outpost, then on to EPCOT. When traveling from EPCOT to Wilderness Lodge you should have a direct trip. I have ridden on a few buses were the drivers didn't quite remember the route, :confused3 and stopped by Ft Wilderness Campground first on the way back to the Lodge but only a few times. I don't ever remember sharing the bus with the Grand Floridian or the Poly on our journeys to EPCOT. (I do remember stopping at the Grand Floridian once on the way to Animal Kingdom)

The stops at the campground add maybe 5-8 minutes to the trip, so it isn't a big deal.

Most all the deluxe resorts share bus routes. With the EPCOT Resorts having the most shared routes between 6 resorts.

Thanks you wonderful Lodge Lovers!

Okay, I found information that the pool should be okay for our time frame but can someone please tell me how late you can use the pools and the hot tubs.

Thanks in advance.
