The **New** Swan and Dolphin Resort thread ~ April 2012 ~ Please read post #1

I have a split stay planned (BC day 1, 5 days Dolphin). Linking tickets is easy and you can always add water parks and more when you get there. Not sure when you are going, but increased pre-booking off-site availability will equal less same day FP choice. I would buy the tickets and link if I was you.

Am I missing something? I think you can do some pre-booking because you are doing a split stay, if I am staying all Dolphin I don't think there is any choice about pre-booking FP right?

I do plan to link my tickets into MDE when I buy them soon. I am going the first week in May.

This is the thread that talks about the possibility of booking FP+ for offsite guests http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=3230146
I haven't read the entire thread.

Patty57, Thank You !:cool1: I have not read the whole thread either it is so long but read enough to mess around with my MDE and now the message about locking in my choices 60 days in advance is showing! Yay!

I still need to decide on my tickets and get them linked before my 60 day window opens.

It looks as though people with trips booked for early April will know pretty soon whether or not this will work. I hope so because I really, really like the S/D.

I actually did read/scan all 18 pages! :faint:

I guess DH and I will get on the ticket buying this week and get them linked and see what happens.

I have only stayed at the Dolphin once but really liked it and liked it better than CSR where we stayed the time before. I have a son and daughter who do not feel comfortable sharing a bed so for the past couple of trips we have needed two rooms (they are 21 and 18 for this upcoming trip). We love BC and BWI but even with the 30% deals disney is offering it is more expensive than Dolphin. So Dolphin it is for our May trip regardless of what happens with FP+. I will be thrilled to get any kind of advance booking at this point.

Think about the executive suite at the dolphin. King murphy bed in the parlor and two doubles in the attached bedroom. May be less than two rooms; not sure what kinds of discounts you have.

Thanks for the idea, I just checked but there are no suites available for my dates. I am using the AAA rate with resort credit so atleast I'll get $50 per room. We are thinking of doing an early dinner on arrival day at the Cabana pool bar before heading to HS eve. emh to use the credit.

Leaving in 4 weeks for the Dolphin :cool1: I have not bought tickets yet. Can I get magic bands ?

Sorry, no. MBs aren't available yet for offsite guests. You also can't prebook FP+ ahead of time, but can book them in the parks the day of your visit. Things are changing all the time though, so this could change as well.

I'm missing the Swan/Dolphin thread. Dropped to page six, with no updates in over a week. Anyone have any upcoming trips, or news?

I have one coning up late April/early May with my daughter Natalie and her two boys, Jeremy and Christopher!! :cool1:

I miss it too..... I have an imaginary upcoming trip for fall that I hope to make real...... I'm working on my details, but I love staying here SO much...and I've always stayed onsite somewhere at Disney.....this is my favorite place!:cool1:

After a beautiful stay in January, I am missing it desperately with all this SNOW in the Northeast!!!!

We are staying at the Dolphin over Spring Break (4/12-4/18), with our DS, 12. The room is booked, the flights (USAirways out of DC) are booked, the ADRs are booked, and the tickets (5 day base tix) are bought and linked to MDE.

Fingers crossed that they start letting S/D guests do advanced FP+ reservations!

I too am sooooo tired of this winter! We have a trip planned for Mar 12th-16th at the Swan. I just can't wait to get out of the NE tundra and into the sun and warmth.

We stayed several years ago, but I can't remember how to request the room we had 3 years ago. There were several discussions on how to make the best room requests and now I can't find any. We had a great room, it was a corner king, over looking the water ways. I would love any suggestions. This trip is for a family wedding and to celebrate our 30th wedding anniversary.

You and me, both! We will be at The Swan the week after Easter.
