Does anyone know if there is extra bedding in the hotel rooms? We are bringing an air mattress and are wondering if we need to bring sheets etc. Thanks!

There is not extra bedding in the hotel rooms. Perhaps housekeeping would bring some if asked.

Are they going to discontinue the DISCOUNT at the S/D restaurants from AAA>...
I see where Disney is discontinuing it...so wondered if this place will...

I heard that they may be discontinuing the AAA discount for resorts. I don't know about a discount for dining either.

Swan and Dolphin have family rooms (used to be called Deluxe Alcove Rooms) that are really spacious and you can fit a roll away bed in there. We easily fit 3 adults and 2 kids at the Swan last time. We were very comfortable. And the roll away bed is a Heavenly Bed.

The deluxe alcove rooms at the Swan have a king bed and a sofa bed. While they are spacious, I'd much rather sleep on a Heavenly Bed than a sofa bed!

Dan..(smarty) .Not Disney Dining ...but not doing anything for Disney.

So I see the Disney Visa discounts are out now for my time frame in May but the prices haven't changed at S/D. I only qualify for the AAA discount (sadly not nurse, teacher or govt) and the rate currently is higher than I paid for Easter week 2012.

Not sure if I should book now at current AAA rate or wait a bit longer to see if there will be another drop? :confused3 FWIW my dates are early, May 5-10.

Any thoughts/advice appreciated. :)

If you have your heart set on S/D and those May dates, I would suggest booking now with the AAA discount. Keep an eye on the rates (I usually check weekly) and if they go down, call the 888 # and the CM will adjust your rate. ;)

If you find a better rate online for your dates (i.e. Travelocity, Orbitz, etc.), call S/D with the information (website, discount code and rate) and ask if they will match it (they have in the past). :thumbsup2

I guess it would be more accurate to say we have our heart set on the Epcot area hotels, the S/D with AAA at the current price is still less than BWI or YC/BC. This will be a short trip for us, just four full days and an evening on arrival day so we don't want to drop down to a moderate for location. We need two rooms so trying to get the best deal possible.

You certainly can't beat the location! :goodvibes S/D will likely be the best deal for Epcot area resorts - but if not, you can always cancel up till 5 or 6 days prior to arrival. ;)

We arrive Tuesday for our 7th stay!!! I am so looking forward to the Heavenly beds, the Friendship boats, Cabana Bar, and Dolphin's lobby comfy couches with my espresso martini! Best Christmas gift in the world!! :-)

Have you considered one of the Dolphin suites since you need two rooms? We had a grand suite which included 2 bedrooms, a living room with sleeper, a huge dining table, a wet bar area, and a third bathroom for the price per night of one water view room at the Beach Club! We had a teacher rate :)

Thanks for the replies, another question...

I'm looking at the AAA rates and see the regular AAA rate is the same as one called AAA Resort Rate and here is what it says:

"AAA Resort Credit Offer-Must stay a minimum of five night stay with a one time $50 resort service credit"

What does that mean? Would you still pay the $20 per day resort fee but get a $50 credit towards it? Yes, I would be staying 5 nights so I qualify. :confused3

TIA

You still pay the resort fee. You will have a $50 credit to spend at the resort...food, spa, etc.

Ok, I see. Thanks for the quick reply. So if I book two rooms at that rate I would get $100 to spend at hotel. Can that be used at any of the restaurants or pool bar?

Why would someone not choose that if it was available over the regular AAA discount since the rate is the same?

Is there a teacher discount still offered at Swan/Dolphin resorts? If so, does anyone know how much it is?
