Best I can tell, full strength beer runs around 4.5 - 5 % alcohol content.
Light beer runs at 2.7 - 3.3 % alcohol content.

5.2 % is getting higher than standard commercial beer sold at liquor outlets; but there are a few places that stock microbrewed beer around town. Not sure what the alcohol content is...but it would vary depending on the brewer's taste.

Just some of the places in Melbourne to visit....when you come :teeth:. And I actually know the Two Brothers, Andrew and David. Used to baby sit them when they were younger.

I'd guess many beers fall between 5 and 5.5% and and most 4.5 to 6.0. I know the microbrews near me, there are two that are close fall in the same range but one always has a seperate vat going that brew their seasonal beers. The seasonals are usually in the same range but a couple at 7-7.5%, and those vats get emptied quick.

I remember being in Prague many years ago before the Iron Curtain fell. We were having their beer, about 600ml bottles, at 6 Kroner each bottle. When we returned the bottles, we got 1 Kroner back. The alcohol content was around 6%.

And what was a Kroner worth? At that time, the official exchange rate was about 8 Kroner for each American dollar.

Those were the days....

That is funny that they were charging you a deposit for the bottle. It sound like they do it hoping you wouldn't return it.

Actually....they were hoping we WOULD return the bottle. I do remember that when we returned the bottle, invariably we would buy another round. :rotfl:

For shame they are discouraging taking your meal to go.

Yeah a little bit, I'm not ready yet!

Me neither. I'm seriously consider strining the Christmas lights before I have to drag a ladder and set it up in deep snow.

Oh and I looked at the blower to put on the tractor, and am wondering if I need white stuff on the driveway to give the push to get it mounted.

It was a pain last year when there was a couple feet on the ground. Of course last year we already had a couple storms by now.
