If you are in MK on Feb. 14th my girls will be in the afternoon parade and Spectromagic (of course the pre-Spectro parade). They are baton twirlers.

With the great weather forecast I've seen I think we'll definitely be hitting the pool - we're waiting for snow here tomorrow.

I just booked a cabanna for our up coming trip and I wanted to let everyone know the cm said that if it is inclement weather that you dont have to cancel 24 hours in advance you can cancel the day of use. We are sooo excited for our cabanna day!!!

We will be staying at the GF in Nov. main building concierge. We will be having our vow renewal at the GF, ceremony at the wedding pavilion and reception at the White Hall room. We were just there last week for our site visit and got to look around the resort. We have stayed there before a long time ago. We really can't wait because it has always been a dream of ours to get married at the Gf and stay in the main building.

Anyway, while we were there we saw that the cabanas were being rehabbed. There were none available to use. I was inquiring about them because we would like to rent one while we are there in Nov. The nice CM there let us peak behind the fence and we saw them back there and they were just a shell! There was a man working on them. The CM just said they were being upgraded with more bells and whistles and high tech stuff. My question is, does anyone know what exactly they are doing to them and when they will be done?

Sorry, I haven't had a chance to read through this entire thread, but can anyone tell me where I can find info on the main building concierge. We will be in a regular room there. Where can I see a picture of what that room looks like? Have all the rooms been rehabbed lately?

What an exciting event you have planned for your anniversary. You will love RPC.

Interesting about the cabanas. They seem to keep tweaking them. I can't imagine that the rehab wouldn't be finished by November. I hope the weather in November is warm enough for you to enjoy them. Now seems like the perfect time to have them closed. I would guess that the rehab will be finished in time for all the Spring break guests.

I was guessing that the White Room was one of the rooms in the Convention center. We've strolled through there a couple times but have never been to an event there. It's where the business center is located too.

And yes, the Wedding Pavilion is beautiful. We have visited it and actually stroll by it most trips whether we're staying at the GF or Polynesian.

Ooh, thank you!! This is wonderful news! Our cabana attendent (Amanda) had mentioned to us last June that the cabanas would be getting more "stuff". She mentioned Wiis in each cabana along with personal a/c units. I'm also hoping for a ceiling fan!

Congratulations and I hope you have a great time! Your vow renewal sounds awesome. It's interesting to read that there is a "White Hall room" at the GF b/c I'm reading a book about South FL history which talks about White Hall, the 55-room mansion Henry Flagler built for his, I believe, third wife. I love how things at the Gf are named after real people and places - like Mizner's, Royal Palm, etc.
