It is very soft and it is calf length. The logo is on the left hand side of the chest. I wish they would have done the GF embroidery in cream to match the trim so it would show up better!

I washed it once so the fabric fluffed up around the logo and it makes it a little harder to read! Still cute though! My DD loves it!:)

Princesses That robe is adorble...looks so comfy...too bad the dont make those in adult sizes!

Hello all, I have stayed at GF a couple of times but it has been at least 5 years since I have been there. I am considering a 3 or 4 night stay in the spring. Given the slow economy, has anyone had any luck getting upgraded when checking in? I usually book the lagoon view but will have to go with garden view this time around. I will miss not seeing the fireworks and light parade from my balcony.

Request a marina view room. Some of those rooms can see the fireworks if they look to the side :thumbsup2

suns26 Welcome...:) I dont think any one can really predict about the upgrades...but GV at the GF is truly so beautiful...I dont think you'll be dissapointed...

There are also so many nice places to watch Wishes or the Electrical Water pagent from...in front of Gasparillas...or on the dock...

Have a great trip...:flower3:

Princesses, thanks so much for posting the robe photo! My DD will love this. I agree that cream-colored embroidery would have stood out better, but it's still very cute! I want one too!

I ordered a cake from private dining (celebraing dd and dh's birthdays with my in-laws). Has anyone had a cake delivered to their room - I'm assuming they leave plates and forks - but how about a candle and knife to cut the cake? We're having the cake delivered while we're out to dinner to surprise dd when we get back to the room. Also can I order any decorations to go with the birthday cake?

Thanks! - 10 days to go!

Hi, we are thinking of booking a cabana for our last day. Our flight is not until 7:00 pm so I know that Magical Express will pick us up at 4:00 pm. I know we have to check out earlier in the day and was wondering if I can book the cabana for 10:00 to 2:00 and just hang out by the pool the last day until ME picks us up. Is this allowed? We were thinking of doing a character breakfast earlier and then just hang out by the pool for our last day. On our last trip we went to a park the last day and my family was so tired by the end of the trip they did not enjoy it as much. I thought this would be a nice way to end the trip. What do you guys think?

I am so excited for my trip. :cheer2:

It's been a long time ago, but we had a cake delivered to our room at the Poly, and they provided all the necessary tools: plates, forks, knife, etc. You can request a candle, I think - it wouldn't be hard to bring it from home, just to be sure. They also provided hats and blowers, but I'm not sure if they do that anymore through the cake hotline?

They have those new birthday table pkgs. you can purchase at the restaurants, not sure exactly how to do it for your room. Disney florist, maybe?

Good luck, and have a wonderful trip! :sunny:

Robyn, We have had a cake delivered and they did leave a knife and 1 candle. It was my DD's 8th birthday and I brought a pack of candles from home so she could blow out 8 of them!
Hope you have a great trip!:)

DisneyMomx7 Your trip is right around the bend...have a great time!!!

In the past when we've had a cake delivered to the room they set the table...table cloth and cloth napkins cake plates cake forks and a knife...

Not sure about now though with the new what will you be celebrating theme if they do more...:confused3 When you come back please let us know...

Just posting from the end of an incredible Steelers...er...Superbowl party (my sincerest condolences to all you Cardinals fans...)...my aunt gave me the rest of the pics from our trip and I've added a couple to my GF review on page 51.

Thanks for the pictures and reviews...everyone who is headed down to WDW soon, have a great time.

ciao~

I can't wait - 11 more days until our return to the GF!

I still keep checking if anything opens up for SL or TPV for the 7/4 offer but I think I'm just out of luck. Oh well - hopefully we'll get a nice gv room. THis is my in-laws first time at GF and we're celebrating DH and DD's birthday (ordered a cake from private dining for the room).

Don't give up on your room choice! Check once or twice a day until you leave if you can.
When I was booking my May GF RPC trip it kept telling me the GF was sold out! Then one day it offered me 3 different room categories!!! pixiedust:
Be persistant :thumbsup2
