Thanks Lives4Disney!

We might change one of our ADRs.

Do you GF experts think Narcosses would be ok for dinner for 6 & 9 yr old w/ 3 adults? I was advised it was not for kids, but I was wondering what you guys think.

I don't even know I can get the ADR, but I like options.

I brought my daughters (7.5 and 11)during our Thanksgiving trip. My girls are really good and well behaved, but if your young ones are boys;) it might be a different story, lol, because I don't think my son at 6 would have been ok. It was a longer meal. Very nice and yummy but one that you don't want to rush and service was definitely not rushed. Narcoosees is casual and it is kind of noisy. It's not a super quiet adult place, more like a nice family restaurant.

Enjoy!

Hey ya'll!! um...whats this thread doing on page 2???:confused3 ;)

Anyway, leaving Friday for my quick trip and was wondering if anyone wanted me to check on anything for ya!!

Im hoping my GV room will be up to my standards since I couldnt have my MK view room!:snooty: LOL

Also, I have dropped a GOZILLION hints to my hubby about a GF bakery birthday cake...:upsidedow ...dont know if he will do something or not. hhmmm....when I got him that chocolate mousse cake for Xmas, it was totally to die for, so maybe he will be a nice hubby and call....if it aint too late!

If not, Im just thankful he is taking me and made the ressies for the GF. Im a thankful wife. (um, but I still want a dern cake with my name on it! )

Let me know if ya'll have any instructions for me. Shoot, I havent even packed yet....Im hoping to get all our junk in one suitcase!!! Less to tote!

:flower3:

Hi, everyone. We have put in the room request for "Big Pine Key, top floor, Hammerhead room". We went through Special Needs services and explained why this bldg/floor would be better for DS. Hopefully, they'll be able to block it off (not the Hammerhaed per se, but the bldg/floor). Can't wait regardless!

Hey guys, skating has kept us so busy I haven't been around very much (Thank you Mary for all your help planning the St. Paul trip). I noticed today when I logged in that there is a new piece of software being created for the DIS boards. Something about automatically closing long threads (250 pages/3750 posts). As this thread has already reached 135 pages and over 2000 posts in just 3 months, it's very likely that it will be locked and another GF FAQ thread will have to be created in the spring. I know a lot of time and effort went into updating this thread. Someone may want to verify with Pete or Safetymom to see if FAQ threads will be exempt from the auto close. If not, it may be worthwhile to save the information on the first few pages to someones home computer, so that it can be easily recreated.

In the meantime, we may want to consider a community board thread for general chatting. A number of us from the GF thread talked on the Lizard Lounge thread, http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=680943&goto=newpost. If that were utilized again and this thread kept to simple Q & A for the GF, it may last a little bit longer than 5 months. I know they'll sticky it right at the top of the first page, but so many people don't realize you can find it right there. I've seen a few posts that are simply "bumping" this thread back onto page one.

Unfortunately, with this new policy in place, I'm afraid that some great information here is never going to be seen by the newer members who come along.

Sorry it was us longer cruise threads that were slowing everything down...

EB PC Repo cruise was up to 88,000 posts and we were up to about 45,000.

We've been closed down twice already and figure that we're going to have to have atleast another 9 threads to get us to the cruise in May...

From what we've been told... the threads are getting locked but soon we will be able to access it for read only.

& we tried to get to a chat only format on another site but it wasn't any good for keeping up with info posted..

I hope that helps...

DVCMary,
I am not an expert (YET!), but I am taking my DD5 there on Thursday evening (6:25 ressie), and I will be sure to let you know what I think. DD is well-behaved at restaurants, so I think she will be fine ...

OK ... so we have been at the GF for less than one day, and I must say I am absolutely in love!!! :worship: It is beautiful, everyone is friendly. It truly is a special place.

We arrived yesterday on the Magical Express bus and were greeted as we stepped off the bus by a CM who took us directly to our room, 4417. The CM greeted by DD by name, told her Happy Birthday, and DD was thrilled. We got to the room and balloons were waiting for her with an autograph book and Tink pen and a card signed by Cinderella. Mickey confetti was sprinkled on the dresser and nighstand. DD was sooo excited. :wizard:

Today we are headed to the MK ... If anyone wants me to find out anything over here, please let me know! I am trying to figure out how to post pics, so hopefully I will have some up this evening.

Have a GRAND day!
- Andrea

hi Tammi nice to see you! I was watching some skating the other day and thought of you.

I know some do alot of extra chatting on this thread but I think most if goes around the gf so it gets by. I have been keeping track of everything here though thats good to know and when we hit the 250 limit I will start a new thread and move all the cool stuff over. I promise. I have been working hard to keep updating the top pages.

I link that you placed in your post I went to it. I have posted on that but it doesnt ge much traffic. It looks like there was a point last year where months went by and no one had posted. I think thats why I stopped going there.

How is your sons skating going?

So yes everyone this thread will have to be closed at 250 and I will start a new one so lets remember that as we post. PMs are a good way to let people know information.

I read about the cabana's and it would be lovely to rent one for our stay.
Could anyone tell me how we could make a reservation and where?

Thanks.

My kids love Narcoossees! We were even there for New Year's Eve, and at least every other table had kids, so don't worry about taking them with you.

I'm sorry to be a nerd but this kind of numbers are not used in Europe.
Is there also a "nomal" :rotfl2: number for us dummies from over the big ocean?

Kelly,

Thansk for all the work you do keeping the info up-to-date :) and at the beginning of the thread. I come here looking for info that I know I read on a previous post but it's sometimes very hard to find the particular post since I have to scroll through so much *chatting*! Not that there's anything wrong with that; I'm just saying it does make it harder for the 'non regulars' to find the informational posts.

Thank you for the answer.:thumbsup2

Each numeral on the phone key pad is associated with a number (ex. 2 = ABC, 3 = DEF).

You probably have a Blackberry and so you won't have these. But, as a short cut just remember the alpha starts on 2 and each has 3 letters. Well, 7 has 4 (PQRS) and 9 has 4 (WXYZ).

Can I make it any more convoluted? Sorry!

Where are all my fellow overpackers?? I need some condolences... we fly United almost exclusively and are REALLY upset over this new change to charge $25 for a second checked bag. For my family of 3 that is an additional $150 ($75 each way) for a service that is free on most airlines.... Chicago area GF'ers- which airline do you normally fly??
