I saw the pins at the Gingerbread House, in M. Mouse, as well as Sandy Cove. I actually bought my gingerbread house pin, as well as the Holiday 2007 one for the GF, in Sandy Cove.

They also had Christmas Jibbitz! Got a cute Santa Tink, Santa Mickey, and Pluto dressed as a reindeer. I saw them in a couple of other stores, too, and those seem to be the only ones out. Was hoping for a Minnnie, Donald, or Goofy one, too!

Thanks Tinkaroo! :santa:

Ok I am supposed to be packing but jsut had to check in and say HELLO!

A little nervous about our trip had DS & DD to the Dr. this am... DS has an acute sinus infection and DD has Bronchitis plus the weather for our travle days is yucky....

No I am wondering if we should cancel... I so don't want to and am packing but am a little worried about DD & DS (4yrs). They both started antibotics this am, and will take there 3rd dose of 5 the morning we leave. Dr. said to go they should be ok. Anyone travel when there little ones were in the midst or hopefully recovering from something? Any thoughts?

Hope everyone is well... seems a lot of us are leaving inthe next couple of days!

Here's hoping!!

Best,

If the Dr. says it's ok... GO!!! Relax... have fun... You're going to the GF!!! & don't worry - I do belive there is a Dr. on call or at least they can give you the best info about going to the Dr. if you need it.

Have fun!

Princessesrule4 - Where would one go "on-line" to acquire such an item as a Gingerbread House pin on Thursday if one were to be available? Disneystore.com?

Someone actually provided a link but I can't remember if it was this thread or not. I think it was . But I believe you just go to Disney Worldwebsite and go to online pins. I think there is a holiday category or it might have been under new releases or something like that. I had to scroll through a few pages to find it. This was early November when I saw it! Hope this helps!:)

One of us has gone on the tail end of something - sinus infection, strep , cold, etc. a few times. I tend to worry too but I'm always so glad that we went because they get better between the swimming and the warm weather. We do try to take it easy the first day or two by letting them sleep in and not stay out as late if they are only 2 or 3 days into the virus, but after that it is full speed ahead! I agree - if your doc says its okay, I would go and have a great time! We're leaving tommorow too and can't wait! Have a great trip!:)

Hi Everyone!

Needed to share as I know all of you would understand... I posted about DS & DD being ill and we decided that with the antibotics etc that they would be at the tail end and would forge on. BUt Mother Nature clearly has another plan... both of our travel days (tomorrow) and Sunday are forecasted for pretty severe storms by me. They have already canx the flight after ours tomorrow and more delays etc are expected... and who knows about Sunday.

SO... sniff sniff... we had to canx our trip... well ok reschedule... but to me it is like canx... NO gingerbread house... no castle with lights... etc... I am so bummed... and the real icing ont he cake... I found out when talking to resv (who were wonderful btw) that we had been upgraded to Concerige! I literally cried on the phone. I am so crushed... I am not sure who will be worse tomorrow my kids or I.

Sorry to be such a downer... but just needed to share as I know you folks would understand and well, IRL folks don't always get it.

Everyone that is one their way have a GREAT TIME... have a cookie for us etc etc.

Be back tomorrow with a better/happier attitude... well I will try anyways..

Best

NeverSayNever - I'm so sorry you had to cancel your trip! And then to find out that you were upgraded on top of it...I would have cried too! Have you rescheduled yet? I know it won't make the disappointment go away, but planning for a future trip might help a little.

OH! I am so sad for you. :guilty: I would GO. THat's just me, though....majorly pathetic WDW addict. We have done crazier things though.:rotfl: Switch that flight, get your ressie back (not sure which order to do those, haha) but GO!:yay: I can't imagine how bummed and depressed I'd be - let alone my kids - for as much as they grumble sometimes that they've been there done that they'd still be crushed if it was taken away.

We just had a day off school due to the servere ice storms predicted for us on Tuesday....didn't happen.

I hope you change your mind and find a way to head south.:wizard:

I say go, Never...the decision to cancel could put a real damper on the holidays for you and the kids too, so just make the changes that are easiest and go for it!!
Report back to us on what you decide...I had to cancel our trip last year around this time, and rescheduled it for the first of Feb. just so I could have something to look forward to after cancelling.
Yes, the word is ADDICT!!:lmao:

Sorry it's taken so long, i've been busy since we got back, but here's a link to my photos of our deluxe RPC room. I think the number was 4220, it was the first room on the right after the kids TV area in the lounge. I worried about noise when we were first shown to it, but I needn't have, we never heard a thing when the door was closed.
Hope you like the photos......RPC October/November 2007

Thanks for those pictures Kona! Looks like you had a great room!!!:goodvibes

Wonderful photos!!!!!

The room looks huge!!!! Are all of the RPC rooms this big?

Those are great pics!!! What room were you in???

Oh!!! My room # plaque arrived today!!! I LOVE IT!!! My mom knew EXACTLY what it was when I opened it!!! Now after the snow storm, I have to go and get those 3M sticky things so I can hang it on my door!!!

Kona queen, that room is HUGE!! I thought all the GF rooms were about the same size, but that one looks twice as big as our Sugarloaf room!!

Not sure if anyone on this board remembers my posts from mid November, but it was all talk about my up and coming trip to the world at the GF and a certain big moment. I got proposed to my now DF on our first night Nov. 16th after coming back from the MK's MVMCP:santa: . The GF concierge was amazing and had the room setup just the way I had wanted it. I will post pics and more details soon! We got back on the 21st, and with Thanksgiving and the adjustment back to work I have neglected the boards.

I hope everyone headed to the GF has as much fun as we did. What a wonderful resort!!

Thanks for the nice comments. It was a deluxe RPC room and i'm pretty sure it was 4220. :teeth: It was a beautiful room!

There are only 6 (I think) deluxe concierge rooms and they are about 600+ sq feet vs the approx 400sq ft standard room. The deluxe rooms only sleep 4 though. I peeked in one once when housekeeping was cleaining betwn guests and I thought for the extra $15/nt it was worth it for all that extra space. :thumbsup2 The only downfall is none of the deluxe rooms do not have a MK castle view. We value that view too much to give it up.

Thanks for the great pics Kona Queen! Those are hard to come by & lots of people ask for pics of a deluxe room. Hope you had a great time.:goodvibes

Mickeywatch - Congratulations!! Glad it went as planned. We were there the same time - checked in Nov 16 and also decided to go to the party that night. Did you stay in SL or RPC??? Sounds like you are a GF fan now.;)

All you North Easters, stay safe and warm!

Hey mickeywatch I was wondering where you were!!! Glad to hear things went well and look forward to seeing your pictures!!!;)

a CM cast member told me today to request a room in Sago Key for the best MK view....but Lives4Disney told me Conch Key would be the best....:confused3

so Im more inclined to take Channing's word...because well, she LIVES4DISNEY. :)
