hahaa me too, this is the reason I am so up in the air about what to request and what to do, looking at google earth it does not look like there are really any bad views, btu who knows, right?

There has been a lot of chit chat on this thread about the INFAMOUS dumpster view. Those are on the back side of Sago looking towards the convention center. If you were to end up with one of those, I would inquire at the front desk about moving (politely of course )

My GV rooms have either been looking at the quiet pool or at the marina (which I much prefer and have requested again for this trip)

yeah dont stress to much about what you request for a garden view. obviously if you would prefer teh marina, or pool, i would say soemthing in a request, but like someone said, no true "parking lot views" like at some resorts!

Either one of those sounds good to me, now the dumpsters do not sound so hot...so I guess if I end up with one of those then I would just politely ask if I could have a different view...how do I do that? I just hate asking or things.

I always ask at check in if they have the room, building location that I want. So far I have been pretty lucky. If you inquire about it they will try and help you as much as they can.

I get as specific as I can with them. I think they are used to it. They will get out the map and do the best they can.

We are in the Central part. In between Springfield and Peoria. Very tired of this weather. We heard the Southern part got a lot of rain. The sun is finally out here this afternoon!

This was the view from our room in BPK last May. One night, we were treated to some impromtu fireworks show that wasn't from MK but we couldn't figure out where they were coming from LOL.

If we don't decide to upgrade before our August trip, I think we'll try to request the same room we had last May.

The only bad view I've ever had was one with a tree in front of my room... I think they need to rethink some of the trees they planted 20 years ago...

Other than that...it's been great!!!

This looks very similar to the view we had from SL a few months ago. I enjoyed it but would rather have had a view from RPC!!

This is great, thanks for sharing this picture! Sounds great, that is noce that they will show you on the map. I am used to the BC where even if they showed me on the map, I probably still would not have any real idea what kind of view I had....hahha so many nooks and crannies, there it seems. I am getting better at The GF infor now, though.

I am also getting really excited about staying there.

Vbarry, yes we did get A LOT of rain. I teach at SIU and did not think I was going to make it home Tuesday night because all the roads out of town were flooded. First snow and Ice and now rain...I am waiting for sroing weather!

I think this is what I'm going to do in May. Now that all the rooms are themed the same and I've done the dormer room thing, I think I'm just going to leave it up to the room assigners to see what happens (maybe we'll get upgraded ). If it looks like somewhere I don't want to be, I'll just ask if there are other options. We'll be checking in early, since we're arriving late the prior evening and staying at ASMu that night.
