I have a question for all of you. I am looking at booking a Disney cruise and was wondering if I book a land/sea package, and I want GF RPC what room category that gives me on this ship? Anyone? Thanks!!!

Wow! Stay gone from this thread for a while and you miss alot!;)

Fishy,

I just did a 4 day Wonder cruise. I booked the components seperately so I could have more flexibility. That said, the catagory that goes with the GF are the suites which are Cat 1, 2 or 3. These book up VERY early, so beware. Also, I think no matter what, you will still need to upgrade to concierge at an additional expense. Either way, you will not be able to do this online, since suites can not be booked that way, sooooo, speak to the DCL reps and they can help you. You can now add DDP to your Land and Sea if I am not mistaken.

Hope you have a great time - the cruise has my whole family hooked - they all LOVED it!

Thanks for the info. That is what I kind of figured on the categories. I wish you could just do it all online and you could check availabilty for category 1 2& 3, instead of having to keep calling back with different times of when you can go. :headache:

I agree with 3 for me. There are definite advantages to booking separately -- it's usually much cheaper that way, and you can get the kind of room you want. Unless they've changed it, you get a standard room at the GF, though they do try to upgrade you if it is available. We've been on 4 Disney cruises, one was a land/sea in a cat. 2, and we got a regular room, because by the time we got there they were full and we couldn't upgrade. The other three cruises we did pre-stays before the week-long cruises, and the cruises were in Cat. 3 rooms. I think all three of those times we were put in rooms in Sugar Loaf. Have fun on the cruise! :)

I have the catalog its ok
none if its got disney on it
they are selling the lamps with mickey on them but most of the other stuff is very blah

I was thinking about ordering the H2O stuff also, but it is the same price as on the H2O website. I am very tempted right now to order a new matress. My matress is the worst, I can hardly move this morning my back hurts so much from it. I love the matress that they use at the hotel.

My husband and I say the same thing. The mattress and pillows are awesome. Can you order either of those? I checked out the mattress name when I was there, but I forget what it said!!

H2O smells great!!!:goodvibes

Has anyone used the Magical Express? What are your opinions, experiences....I am really nervous about using it during Spring Break - any opinions would be appreciated.

You can order the mattresses, pillow, etc. They're in all the deluxe WDW hotels. conchKahuna posted a link the other day on the Polynesian FAQ.

The Cobb salad at the GF Cafe is great, isn't it? Lunch at the Cafe is almost always included in our trips. We had lunch there just two weeks ago.:goodvibes

The Sand Trap also serves a great Cobb. Neither are as finely chopped as BD. They don't have that spongy consistency.

The only Cobb I've had at WDW that I haven't enjoyed is the version at Wolfgang Puck Cafe. But there are plenty of other good things on their menu.

Everyone headed to WDW soon, have fun! We used to always go during Spring break. Great memories but I'm loving the flexibility of going during less busy times now!:cool1:

Hi, BCV23! Long time no see. :goodvibes

I love the BD Cobb Salad, and had no idea the GF Cafe had one, too. Hmm...may need to look at switching some ADR's around for lunch at the GFC!

Just got back from GF this weekend. As always, it was great. I was expecting some big crowds, but at least on Thurs, and Fri., it was kind of empty, I walked on to every ride. DH and I were at the PP party on Thurs. night and we were the only people on the street in front of the train station with 15 min. before the parade started. It had been raining so maybe that was the reason :confused3 . We were staying RPC, and the first night I just could not sleep and didn't want to wake up DH by turning on the t.v., so I got up and went to the lounge and the t.v. was on and I was sitting there watching and someone from the front desk came by and was talking to me, they left and pretty soon came back with a plate of cookies and a glass of milk. . Those were the best cookies, plus they were warm. I almost set the alarm clock the next night for the middle of the night just to see if I could get some more of those cookies ;).

Sounds like a great trip, and what a wonderful surprise from that CM. I became addicted to the cookies when we stayed in RPC. If they had been warm, too, I'm afraid it would have gotten ugly! ;)

Has anyone ordered anything out of the resort catalog they leave in the rooms now?

You can view the online catalog at www.disneyresortcollection.com.

Just FYI - you can pretty much buy all of the H2O products for the same price from H20 directly (they just won't have the Disney labeling on them). The main line at most Disney deluxe hotels is the Aquatics line, and the line at the GF and on DCL is the Purifying Seaweed/Spa line.

H20's website is www.h20plus.com. They have a free shipping offer going on through tomorrow (3/12) if you spend $40. The code at check-out is BASICS.

I love all the H20 products!

The only time we've used ME was when we were staying at the GF in 8/05. It worked just fine for us, although GF was the last stop on that trip. We were not traveling at a busy time, though, so I can't comment on how ME handles Spring Break crowds. I would definitely expect some lines/waiting from the airport. ME builds in a pretty hefty time allotment to get you back to the airport, though, so I wouldn't worry about that (3-3.5 hours before your flight).

The ME service is nice to have, but admittedly, we love our rental car!
