I went to the GF Convention Center. There is a business center inside where you can use the computers. I believe it opens at 8:00. Since it only took me less than 5 minutes they didn't charge me.

Thank You!!! FI stresses over getting the "A" pass

Look what MidNite made for me! A GF shirt for our trip. Isn't is great???!!!!

ETA: it's an iron on for shirts. Anybody can make it. Here's the link. GF Shirt I really like how it looks. I think we'll wear it on our way down for our arrival!

We have a standard GV in September. Without GF concierge, will someone let us print our boarding pass for Southwest since you can't check in with SW at the resorts? FI freaks if he can't get an A pass and I'd prefer not to spend my last full day at the airport!!
Lobby Concierge will print boarding passes for any airline for you. They are open 7am-10pm daily. For those 12:01 boarding passes you'll need to go to the Front Desk, they handle that for the overnights.

Hi, everyone. I'm sitting here in the RPC lounge and getting ready to head downstairs to the pool (yeah!). My son is finally feeling better but my daughter & I are still under the weather (arg!).

I put my Jane Bond hat on last night and made a point of heading over to the Sugar Loaf lounge. My daughter was armed with our spy camera, and she took a bunch of photos of the late night offerings. Boy, were they yummy. And, boy, was I ever jealous. The Sugar Loaf lounge had more offerings than the Royal Palm Club lounge. They had strawberries & cream (ooohh!), fudge (caramel), and other delicious treats. (I should note that the liquor & cordial selections appeared to be identical between the two lounges.) When I get the chance, I'll post the photos. For those of you who will be staying in the Sugar Loaf lodge building, rest assured, you will have a wonderful time (and so will your tummies!).

TIA :flower:

WOOOOOOOOOOOOHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!! Can't wait to see the pictures. Oh my goodness, I am so excited about staying in Sugar Loaf at Christmas! Thanks so much to Jane Bond and Nancy Drew for spying for us! ;)

I have plenty of photos to post of both the RPC and SL lounge munchie offerings (of course, I have more of the RPC since that is where we are staying). I'll post them when I get the chance. If you're staying RPC, you will have a wonderful stay, have no fear.

I should mention that when the AKL opened up a few years ago, I was fortunate to have been staying there during opening week. There were two concierge CM's (Don & Diane) who were a joy to work with as I planned my family's vacation. Well, Diane moved back to the Grand Floridian after the resort opened up and I hadn't seen her since. Until yesterday, that is. I stopped by the RPC concierge desk and found her sitting there. It was nice to see her again, and she was as gracious as ever.

The Grand Floridian is truly a gorgeous resort, filled with many wonderful CM's. As you can tell, I feel at home here, especially in the resort's swimming pools. I can't think of a more lovely place to relax (I say that as I'm getting ready to head back down to the pool).

Hope you all are feeling better and having a GRAND time! ;)

triplefigs, great shirt design!

Janet, Thanks for the undercover work! :ssst: We won't tell anyone. I think it's great the SL has wonderful dessert offerings. The caramel fudge sounds great to me. I can't wait to see the RPC photos. Tell your daughter to keep up the good work and to ride the Haunted Mansion for me!

I have started an on-line photo album for the Sugar Loaf concierge lounge evening munchie offerings: click here (click on the thumbnail images for larger size images). I will try to add more photos to that album as soon as I get the chance.

Boy, does that look GOOD! thank you so much! I'm really looking forward to our trip.

Hope you all are feeling better!

LOL J2K! C'mon! Get with it! You'd think you were on vacation or something! Hheheeee!

Seriously, thanks for the shots - can't believe you are doing this WHILe you are there AND sick! And thank the photographer for working so hard - that was really 'sweet' of her!

LOL - get it? Sweet?

heheheee...

...sorry. :teeth:

Now that SL has the same food offerings as RPC can someone help me compare the two?

How many rooms/suites have access to the RPC lounge? How many have access to the SL lounge? No TV in SL correct?

Are there more room options for a family of 5 in SL? In RPC a family of 5 needs a standard room as the deluxe only sleeps 4, right? Suites are out of the question but are some rooms in SL larger or have two balconies?

Price difference between the two?

Which is a better location for kids as far a location to pool etc.?

Thanks in advance!

Thanks Janet2k! CAnt wait to see some RPC...the coffee mugs look large :maleficen :earseek:

Thanks SO much Janet2K for your lovely "spy work" - It's greatly appreciated!! Jill

, I might changed my ressie to Grand Flordian :cool1: :rotfl2: Sooooo excited!! Going tomorrow to the TA, and hopefully changing the ressie, it all depends if my good friend is coming along!! So I have some questions.

1 Does anyone have a resort map of GF, just want to look at the building location.

2. We will be booking standard view. I want to be near the pool or overlooking the main pool. What building would this be? Is it Big Pine Key or Bocca Chica? I don't know if thats correct, just from reading some post.Which is a better location? Prefer non-smoking.

3. Just wondering what type of people stay here? More people with families or people on thier honeymoons? Or is it mixed.

4.. Any other tips or extra advice on staying at GF, that would make my trip more pleasurable.
