Thanks for the reply! I'm not sure what I think of them, in a way I like them, but I do think the old ones were nicer! Wonder if they will be changing the bedskirts?

triplefigs,

Wow! Thank you so much for taking time to post...especially your pics! Love those kiddos smiles and their shirts as well :) You make a beautiful family :)

SO neat to see your pictures and hear that all is going so well!
We leave in 10 days....I can't believe it!

Have a GREAT time you all! :flower:

We're home. GF was awesome. We LOVED SugarLoaf and already are booked for next year same time. All my pictures are up with a good many of SL and the GF all decorated. I got to meet Lori (PiratesoftheCarolinas) too!

Hi Denise,

Welcome home! Very cool to see that you did indeed get a tower room. We just got back from Denver a few days ago and I haven't had a chance to read your live report. Sounds like I have lots of catching up to do and that you had a great trip. Is next year going to be the main building or back to Sugar Loaf??

DS and his partner won the US National title for Juvenile dance. We're still a little bit in shock. There were 3 dances and they actually came in first in all of them. They were even interviewed by US figure skating, article #1 and article #2. It was so much fun. I guess Comcast was there filming and they'll be showing the competition in 2 parts on their local cable stations. Even though we really missed going to the GF and Disney this year, getting the gold medal was pretty awesome.

Denise,
Thanks for your live reports and great pictures! Glad you all had such a wonderful trip! You have gotten us very excited about our concierge trip to the GF next week! Hope your son is feeling better! I seems like one of us always gets something at the end of our trip!

Tammi,
Congratulations to your son and partner ! What great articles and pictures! I bet you are just thrilled! That is awesome!

Denise - I loved your review and pics!! Hope Rees gets well soon & you all stay healthy. What tower room did you guys have?? How did you manage it with 3 kids??? We had it once, and requested a rollaway, but that was tight. Is that what you all did??? I am really happy your trip turned out so great and you were glad you chose the GF. I knew you would love it. :flower:

Tammi
- WOW!! Congratulations to your son and his skate partner. That is just fantastic!!

The Lodge Tower Room in SL has a huge sitting area with a full size sleeper sofa. It was perfect. We had TONS of rooom. We're doing SL again next year. DH and I just adored the intimacy of it, and it's so convenient to everything. The CMs there were wonderful- especially Robert and Andy at night. Very good service.

Hi triplefigs,
So glad you guys had a great time! Kids look so happy! And I see that you did get the room you wanted. I never was able to send you the photo because I could not get my pics uploaded to a site. Got a new computer :cool1: Finally did it the other day. Too late for you but here it is. And I don't have a pic of the sofabed open, but I'm sure you found that it opened.

Curiosity has gotten to me, on day 1, there are two different rooms pictured, right?

Yes, they put us in a regular room saying we could get the Lodge Room the next day. We were thrilled to be getting our request. Then they called 30 minutes later and said they had a Lodge Room ready (don't know why they didn't see it the first time). So we moved. The rooms were about 4 doors down from each other. I liked both rooms, but the Lodge Tower is much more spacious.

Thanks. ;) One more question for you - did you have any problem with noise in the tower room from the housekeeping area below you? I've heard reports from people that in the mornings when housekeeping would open the door to outside, they were bothered in the 2nd floor tower room.

I didn't, but DH slept on the sleeper sofa and he said it was noisy. You could definitely hear them. 6320 and 6420 would probably be better. But we got up early every day, so it really wasn't a big deal. DH said the extra space was worth the noise.

A question, do only the SL Tower Rooms have the sleeper sofa? Is the room capacity 4 on the ones in the other Lodge Buildings?

I've wondered the exact same thing. Officially, the maximum is 4. But, I know prior to renovation, the Concierge Deluxe rooms in the Main Building had a maximum occupancy of 4, but had 2 queens and a sleeper (not sure after renovation).

Guess I'll stick with SL. If we don't get a Lodge Tower Room there, then we'll request the marina side. We loved sitting at Gasparilla's and eating dinner outside, watching the Castle and Marina. It is just lovely. I think if you had a Marina view closest to the main bldg, you *might* be able to see the Castle if you leaned out and looked right.
