I've booked us into a MK view room with a non-smoking, king bed request - is there a building you all recommend for a MK view room? I know this room category is sort of new, so I was wondering if anyone has had any experience with it yet? Also, any feelings about a dormer room? I'm considering requesting it, but don't know if I should just leave that part to chance

Room 5441 meets all your dreams. This was our honeymoon room in 2000. We were in Sago Cay, room 5441, dormer with a king bed and a fabulous view of Cinderella Castle. I hope you get this room! It was so beautiful and romantic!

Congrats on your upcoming wedding.

Disneymooner, romantic is so subjective but Narcoossee's is more so to me. It is smaller but most importantly enjoys stunning views of Seven Seas Lagoon. It can be noisy as there is so much exposed wood but it is just lovely. There are but two rows of tables that run the sides of the building....just three sides as I recall. There is also a bar and if there is a convention at the GF this can get noisy.

We've enjoyed dinner and in years past lunch at Narcoossee's since it opened. It's a family favorite. No lunch served there these days. The decor is blue and white.

Citricos is a very large restaurant. It offers views of the courtyard. It is a lovely room but just not romantic to me. Food and usually service are great at both. The menus are very different though. I'd look at them now and make a reservation but be sure to check them when you're actually there as they do change.

Children are very common at both as it is WDW. But I'm happy to report we've been lucky enough to only encounter well behaved children at both. We do tend to eat on the early side though (6ish) so I think we miss the children who have been marched around until they are past exhaustion.

Happy planning, MissKris and Disneymooner...and congratulations!!party:

what do youguys think is gonna happen when they clsoe sugar loaf for the rehab? If people are displaced will they go to RPC or another resort?

Hi, Kelly....I wonder too. I bet they'll set up another lodge building as the Sugar Loaf replacement. Or they just won't let people book SL during the planned rehab. :confused3

Didn't they set up the Poly concierge in another building duiring Hawaii's rehab? I can't remember, but thought they did.

I can't wait to see what they are planning for the new rooms. I bet they'll be gorgeous. I wonder when we'll see some preview type pictures like they had for the CR.

I know I also am excited for that. I wonder if they will do the flat screen tvs? I love colors of most of the rooms now, I wonder if they will change that.
I was wondering how they were gonna do that. I am sure some were booked for the building, so they will have to move them. Maybe some lucky familiy will get a great upgrade.

Way back when they did the last rehab, one of the other buildings simply became lodge concierge while Sugar Loaf was being renovated. I'm fairly positive it was Sago Cay. When they rehabbed the main building though, there wasn't anything comporable offered. That was pretty disappointing. We were bumped out of RPC and into Sugar Loaf without any prior notification and that prompted me to call their corporate offices. I suggested that in the future, if they know there's going to be a problem, they need to notify guests and let them choose what they'd like to do, instead of simply bumping them without their knowledge.

I totally agree. Good for you for calling. :thumbsup2 Wonder if they'll take your advice or just spring it on guests that they won't be in the main building. That would be a big disappointment.

I really wonder what the new rooms will look like?!

I agree Tammi and Channing, I would not have been happy about that at all.
I am not scheduled to go then, but I wouldnt be happy for RPC and getting bumped to SL. THere is a big difference $ wise.

Kelly, when are you going?? Just curious. I am going May 19 - 26 but staying at the Swan because it's DH's conference. I want to do two GF nights after the Swan, but the only deal is a SL AP rate. I am also not too hip on SL. Can't get RPC except Rack rate and forget it. done it too many times to pay rack.

Gotta run! Happy planning - let us know what you decide to book. :goodvibes
