I have some photos of the Alice and Floral themes, but don't know how to post them here. Sorry! If I figure it out, I'll post them.

do you have the pics online already if so click on it and copy the proporties line and put this at the beginning

Thats the only way I know Im sure someone else knows a way

The top two are of a room in Conch Key, and are Alice:

The last two photos are of a honeymoon suite in the main building - so I believe they are the floral theme:

Oh, shoot, they are too small to really see them clearly. I'll try to fix that.

ps - I uploaded them to a photo hosting site, as I only had them on my personal computer. Not sure if I can post photos from my desktop?

ETA: - I can't figure out how to resize, and I have to get ready to leave the house shortly - so, I'll have to try again later. I think you can click on the photos and see a much larger photo.

BTW - the Conch Key room was a dormer room. Sorry for the clothes on the bed, it makes it harder to see the bedspreads, lol.

thanks for the pics
they are really nice
I appreciate you posting them

The Conch Key room did not have the flower-patterned paper that is in the rooms I've seen in Big Pine Key - maybe that is because it is a dormer. I've also seen photos of other dormer rooms with Alice spreads, blue painted walls and one wall with a light blue-and-white patterned paper.

The sink and bathrooms in both of our Alice-themed rooms were the same:

I snuck on the Dis for a few minutes.....Happy Easter!:goodvibes

Kelly, ya, this thread has been slow lately. :guilty: Even though I haven't had anything to post, I always enjoyed reading what others posted. :thumbsup2 We need some action over here. :dance3: That's great you're going in July. Do you get ribbed by anybody for going so much?? I am embarrassed to say to anybody that I am going back - and then again for Thanksgiving. Most people don't get the Disney World thing.

I had a lagoon room booked for part of our July trip, but I am going to cancel it tomorrow because......we're going in May instead!!! YAY!!! :cool1: My DH has a conference in Orlando, not at WDW, but we are going to stay at the Swan. It looks a little less Disney on an expense report. ;) I am still trying to talk him into a couple GF days, but probably not since we're going for Tgiving. I keep checking that AP website and availablity. :sad2:

I need to change my ticker for Nov.

Anybody have any GF news??? Or recent visits to report??:confused3

Have a great (GRAND) day!

Lives4Disney :goodvibes

yes we constantly get the your going again? One of my DHs friends was like you guys should just move there. I was like ya we should.

I am looking forward to it. I booked a garden view room, it was all that was available for me. I still have to request a building though.
I have been looking for reviews and new pics.
I wish someone had a site like Tikimans for the GF. maybe a bunch of us should make one. We have all been there enough. :lmao:

Well, I asked my DS if he would rather have 8 days at the WL or 7 at the GF..He picked the GF.. Secretly, I was hoping for this..I adore the GF.. ED and I spent 4 days there in late Nov...It wasn't enough...We had a wonderful view and we had only booked garden view...I can't wait to go back.

channing, I feel the same way, this thread has been a little dead lately, wish I had a new Trip report! lol. my parents leave for the world april 29th (staying at AKL for $$ reasons, they are GF lovers, too) but are going to eat at narcoossees one night and hang out in the lobby and stuff...I am quite jealous.

Maybe one day i will be rich and can stay at the GF (or main building, hahaha) every year *crosses fingers* i would have to be REALLY rich for that!

I agree about making a really nice GF site. too bad I'm not very good at that kinda stuff though. :confused3

HAPPY EASTER EVERYONE!

HAPPY EASTER EVERYONE!

Loved your pics and trip report Heather. I think we all wish we could do 2 stays a year in RPC, that would be FAB!

This is not an important question in the scheme of things but do they have complimentary kids sized robes at the GF.. For our adults only vacation we had 3 adult robes..I'm just wondering if they have them for a 12 YO too

I thought I read quite a while ago that GF had kids robes, too, but since we've been staying at the GF for a couple years now, we have not had any kids robes. I think I asked for them on our first GF stay and was told they were not available.:confused3 I have never seen any in all our visits. Maybe your 12 yr old could use a small adult robe?

I have only stayed concierge.... I have our first GV room booked for Thanksgiving. I hope they have adult (at least) robes in all rooms. They come in handy!

Happy planning,

Lives4Disney :)

I've never seen kids robes either.

I'm almost 100% positive we've had robes in all our GF rooms...club level or not. We did have them at the GCH too BTW.

HAPPY EASTER EVERYONE!

Heatherlynn, hope your Easter was a good one. :) I am going to be sure to book Narcoossees for our Nov trip & give it a try. Funny, I have been to WDW SO MANY times and never thought to try it until your trip report. That and California Grill. ONe of these days.....

I am actually excited to try a GV room. I usually feel so "tied" to the GF because of the great treats and nice CMs in concierge and the cost...gotta take advantage of that beautiful main building location. It's fun to hang out in the lounge and chat and listen to the lobby music. It'll be nice to feel more "free" to be out in the parks - staying in a GV room - and I am really sick of that same ol' lounge food, too. Our first Gaspies bfast was good - we had never been in there before Xmas Day! We just didn't want to deal with it and the convenience of RPC was nice. Gaspies was a nice surprise, though. :) The kids and I were so happy to see the soft serve icecream and hot fudge sauce!!!!! :thumbsup2

I hope our GV room has a little different decor than the main building and a pretty view. If they have robes and turn down, I'll be set!:goodvibes

I requested Sago. Wonder what rooms look like in that building? I think I'd actually like the Boca Chica view better, though. How about those rooms? I do not want Big Pine. Alice would be great. Wonder where that decor is found?

Lives4Disney :)

We stayed at GF last August - lagoon view, no concierge - we had 2 adult sized robes in our room. I did ask about the kid size robes and was told they no longer have them.

Channing, Conch Key has the Alice theme. And yes, there is turndown in all GF rooms. As I said, I am close to 100% sure there are robes in each room too.

I can understand not having kids robes. It could be a nightmare with demanding guests. "You have a robe that fits my 5yo...what am I supposed to tell darling Suzie who is 10.":)

channing I agree. sometimes I felt bad being in the parks and missing out on the food and snacks I was "paying for"
when we stayed in sago I like how quiet it was, and how close to the main building and gaspys. the lobby area of sago was always very quiet, never heard slamming doors, etc etc. we had the cameo theme, but we were in a suite, and i don't know if they decorate suites different from the reg. rooms?

I'm making ADR's for Narcoosees..Should I make them for Citricos too? IS Citricos good? Where is it located in the GF?

BCV, Thanks! Do you happen to know what Boca Chica and Sago are decorated in?

Heatherlynn, thanks for that info.

No matter what building, it will be kind of a refreshing change. Our favorite hotel with a little twist. :goodvibes Maybe I should just hope for a newly redone room. That would be awesome! I wonder if they are changing the decor themes.

Happy planning,

Lives4Disney :)
