We were there last month and did both the breakfast and the dinner at 1900 PF. We enjoyed both very much and so did the kids. Also, the Alice dress is in the shop located on the first floor of the lobby, next to the GF Cafe (I forget the name of the shop, but the dress was there last month). Enjoy your trip.

That's Sandy Cove. I didn't even notice costumes in there this trip! Did they have anything besides Alice?

BCV23, I'm glad to hear that your son enjoyed that. We are taking my DS4 & I was wondering about that too.

Well, my DS2 is 25.:goodvibes But he has Down Syndrome and still enjoys all Disney magic.:wizard:

But both our sons really enjoyed all the characters when they were small. There weren't seperate princess meals back in those days but Cinderella used to make an appearnace at King Stephen's (now CRT) and both boys got a kick out of her as well as any character. What boy doesn't appreciate a pretty girl even when they won't admit it during those tween years.:confused3

We have done both character meals on just about every trip and have had fun....we prefer the Alice bfast - not for the food because we aren't big on bfast, but the character interaction has been so much better for us. Not as rushed - they spend much more time playing around with the kids....Cinderella is always in a hurry. I think 1900 pf has some of the better buffet offerings at both meals.

The Sandy Cove had the Alice dresses available last week. This shop is off the lobby and Alice is the only costume they sell. DD has that dress and LOVES it. We always bring her white tights, mary janes, and black head band and do the full Alice. It's a cute and simple comfy dress - not itchy and scratchy & flashy like the princess dresses are.

Happy planning,

Lives4Disney :)

Thanks for the info!! I can't wait to see my little one dressed up as Alice! I am thinking that I won't be able to wait until Dec. to buy it - it would be nice to have that for Halloween to so she can get another use out of it. Do you remember how much it is? I may have to call that merchandise line & order it early. Dec. won't get here fast enough!!

It's hard to guess how my DS will react...we did the Norway princess b'fast in Sept last year & I have the cutest picture of him rolling his eyes at Snow White as if to say "I can't believe I am here!" and he pretty much acted like this the whole time. Then as we were leaving we passed Belle who was in the hallway (he didn't want to have his pic. made w/ her earlier) he said "I sure wish I could see Belle"! We later visited Cinderella at Mickey's Toon Town Fair & he was excited. You never know!

I have 2 new questions...

Does anyone know anything about the ladybug release held each morning at GF? Anyone ever done that? Our kids would love it but other than seeing it on the Travel Channel, I haven't found much info on it.

Also, how hard is it to get a late check out there? I'm guessing this is something I wouldn't know until that day but I am trying to plan Chef Mickey's for our last day & deciding on what time for that.

Thanks!!

Hi There - As of last week, EPCOT was hosting the lady bug release at 1 and 3 p.m. Due to this event moving to different places on property, you should probably check as to where it will be held when you are here in order to include it in your plans. From my knowledge, in the past, this was a solely Grand Floridian event, but things do change.

Late check-out time without pay is 1:00 p.m. If you need more time, check with the front desk for complete details.

Have a great vacation!!!

There has been a ladybug release at Epcot during the Flower and Garden show at least during the last couple of years.

I don't think it moves around. I haven't seen it on the GF schedule for several years. It wasn't exclusive to the GF...the Polynesian used to host one too. It was discontinued there as well.

But I suppose you never know. It always pays to read the newsletter to see what's new.:confused3

SLDL, that's cute about your son. He was probably just playing it cool the first time and then gave way to his inner child.:rotfl:

I did check the Alice dresses when I was there and MEANT to remember!!!! I want to say $45??? Somewhere around that range....maybe a little more. (the end of the school year has my mind on overload...sorry!) I was there at the Sandy Cove checking on the pillows - I did remember those prices and still do, lol!! Sorry. It is a sweet dress. Hope you can order it.

Do you think the pillows (both styles) will be there in August or should I just order them online?

Can you order them online?

I'm eagerly awaiting my Alice in Wonderland pillow. Saw a UPS truck a few minutes ago and it reminded me that it won't be long!

How did you order yours? Did you call WDW for them? I assumed you could order online, but you know what they say about assuming......:rotfl:

Are the Alice in Wonderland ones the teacups? Those are the ones I really want.

If everyone keep sordering my pillows I will have to call and order them to
I dont want them to be gone when I get there.

So tell me about these pillows you're talking about. Are they remodeling & getting rid of the old pillows? How much are they?

Hello fellow GF fans!
I called to reserve a cabana during our August trip but forgot to ask where we check in to "claim" it :confused3
Can one of you help?
Thanks!
Kristin

you check in with the lifeguards, this is what I was told anyway
we have a cabana on the 8th of July from 10am to 2pm
I plan on sleeping in that day and relaxing before dinner at Narcooses
Dh and ds8 are going up to daytona on the 7th to watch the pepsi 400

We have a cabana reserved for our honeymoon in June, the IPO gave me a conf. #. I guess we just show up at the pool area where they have them set up, there has to be someone there to assist, right?
