Congratulations and enjoy your trip!

We did not use the Mouseketeer Club, our kids wanted the Neverland Club so we just took the monorail around and dropped them off, what a chore ;)

Wish I could help with your question about it:goodvibes

I have never heard of the Mouseketeer Club. I would also like to know info on it.

Thanks
Sarah

Sarah, it is the babysitting club at the GF. My kids never stayed there so can't help either of you more.

Why don't you try reading the first couple pages of the thread and then if you have more specific questions perhaps we can help you more.

One thing I can recommend is enjoying the restaurants. There are more good choices at the GF than any other hotel in WDW. I love Narcoosssee's, Citricos, GF Cafe and especially V&A.

Also be sure to enjoy the music in the lobby one evening.

Thank you..and sorry for jumping the gun :-0
Just an opinion if you don't mind me asking... I see you use a limo instead of ME. Since we are on a limited time frame and are taking an international flight out early when we leave (flight is at 8:30am) Do you think we will have to be up and ready to go at 4am to use ME? Any specific Limo company suggestions out there? Anyone else who use ME, what is the approximate travel times to and from MCO and GF? Thank a million :-)

If you cannot afford to miss your international flight, I would suggest using a limo service. We always use Tiffany Towncars of Orlando. Their drivers are prompt and courteous and they'll get you to the airport without any delay or aggravations. ME, on the other hand, picks up & drops off at other resorts, so you'll most likely have to wait for others as the bus makes its rounds...

Thank You for the info I dont think I will be using a baby sitter on this trip, but good to know there is one. I do plan on checking out the restaurants I love food.

Thanks
Sarah

I will check out the first couple of pages I just was not sure if the info was up to date, because it say 2004.

Thanks
Sarah

I did not see anything about have a cake sent to the room. I am going for my sisters birthday I would like to have a cake sent to the room does anyone know if it is possible. I will check the rest. thread too.

Thank You
Sarah

DD has stayed at the Mouseketeer Club once but, honestly, the Neverland Club at the Poly is so much more fun for the kids that I would really recommend it for older children. The Mouseketeer Club is very small.

milkfish, we love the Resort Airline Checkin service that WDW instituted when it began ME. But since it can't be used for international flights, I too would go with a limo or taxi. Of course, you should be at the airport earlier for such a flight anyway so maybe ME would work well. Maybe ask on the transportation or UK forums. You can't beat the price.:goodvibes

But for domestic airlines that participate, Resort Airline Checkin is a very sweet service. So much so that I try to book us on flights with those airlines. We always have a rental car but it is so nice to drop your bags off at the resort and not worry about them again until you arrive at your home airport. We just go about our day.

My daughter and I have taken ME to the resorts twice. She's in a wheelchair so it is actually easier to take ME than break down the chair and squeeze it in with all the luggage. ME takes longer with a wheelchair as we wait longer to board and then wait for other guests but we once still beat my husband and son who picked up the rental car and made a quick grocery stop. The other time, it was a tie as they walked up as she was coming down the lift.

Milkshake...I HIGHLY recommend the limo company Southern Elegance.:thumbsup2 (I am no way affiliated with them, haha;) ) But they are the BEST around. Absolutely beautiful, new cars, very careful, good and responsible & friendly drivers, FABULOUS customer service all the way around. I only wish I could find as wonderful a company up here in Chicago:rolleyes: . They will do a grocery stop, can have a character ride along (jumbo stuffed character - very cute for kids) and I just can't say enough positive things about them. We've used them at least a dozen times and have always been impressed with them. They have a website under their name. Southern Elegance Limousines. I have tried a few other Orlando companies but SE blows them away. We always plan on 2 hrs from GF prior to our flight....we have 3 kids, though, and all their carryons to schlep thru security. If it were just DH and myself we could do it in 90 min. We have never tried ME and really don't plan on ever using that service. We usually fly in late at night, so I don't want to rely on them. The limo has always been perfect!

Jen - DETAILS!!! Glad it was fun! :goodvibes

Happy planning,

Lives4Disney :)

Sarah,
you can order a cake thru GF's private dining. The number is 407-824-2474. The smallest cake they can personalize is the 10 inch. You can also order other treaty things from them like strawberry tuxedos, truffles, strawberries and warm chocolate dipping sauce......GF choc boxes....etc.

Johnsonet - ya, I thought that Mouseketeer Club seemed really really small, too. Never used a babysitting type service at WDW, but the girls did the cooking "class" in that room and it seemed tight. No windows, either, I think. Just a bit on the claustrophobic side for me.:upsidedow

I'm happy to see that there are others who would never consider using ME. I thought it was just us...

We have always used Tiffany Towncar but after reading your rave review on SE, I'll have to check them out for our next trip. Thanks!

I got a white chocolate Mickey with tuxedo strawberries and truffles surrounding it - it was so cute and everything was delicious! I am going to do one for my DD's birthday in December but instead of the Mickey, I was going to ask if there were any white chocolate princesses,Tink or Minnie!

This is on my to do list for our next trip!

Does anyone know if the Mickey can be made in milk or (better yet) dark chocolate?

Thanks.

While we are on the topic of in room treats -

I used the search feature to look for a list and description of all the available treats at the GF. I found a BC list posted by Janet2K but nothing for the GF.

Does such a list exist and can someone point me in the right direction?

I realize prices won't be current (especially for my trip in 2 years :rotfl: ) but I would like to dream about the possible choices!

Thanks again.

Does anyone know anything about The GF Private dining? I did have email communication going with Linda 10 days ago and I know she has reserved the balcony for me, but I haven't heard anything for 10 days and we were supposed to be organising the menu. Does anyone know if there is anyone else I can talk to with regards to this? I know absolutely nothing about GF Private Dining and it doesn't appear that Linda is there or answering her phone:confused3

Oh I love this idea if you do not mind I just might steal it. But I would like Ariel she is my sister favorite and we are going for her birthday.

Thank You
