When you take the bus to the AK and Studios, does the bus also stop at the Poly and GF? If so, is the Contemporary the first stop?

Same question for coming home.... do all three hotels share a bus? Who gets dropped off first?

I always assumed the deluxe hotels would have their own buses (since we pay more)..... I'm mostly concerned about the bus filling up and having to wait for a second bus- especially after Fantasia. I hate the idea of waiting late at night with two kids and the bus filling up before we can get on it.

Thoughts? Advice? :woohoo:

When going somewhere after the bus leaves the Contemporary it will then stop at the Polynesian and maybe the Grand Floridian depending on what time it is. Finally when returning the Contemporary is the 1st location where you are dropped off.

Do you know if they have extra buses for the deluxe hotels?

When I stayed at Pop (value resort), they were the only resort that used the bus and there were often times the bus was PACKED. I can't imagine multiple hotels sharing a bus.

If they had extra buses, that would also reduce the wait time ;)

They don't have extra buses for the Deluxe Resorts because the Contemporary has always shared with the Polynesian and the Grand Floridian. Besides that sometimes in the mornings only they have shared with the Wilderness Lodge, however if that happens the Contemporary is still the 1st location where you are picked up.

Also the Epcot Resorts which are also Deluxes also share buses so that includes the Boardwalk, Yacht Club, Beach Club, Swan & Dolphin all one route.

At least we're the first ones on the bus in the morning.... it'll only be the ride back home that could get full. Thanks for the info!

One last question and I promise I'll stop asking you so many questions.... what kind of filters do the coffee makers in the room use (cone shape or flat bottom filters)? I like flavored coffee, so I'm planning to bring my own 4 cup filters and flavored coffee.

Thanks!!!

You're welcome and that's what I like a lot about the Contemporay buses even though they share. Also I don't mind answering any questions you have.

When it comes the filters because my family and I have never made coffee while in our room I am not sure what kind they are, however maybe someone else knows and can answer it for you.

ok, so I had CR booked last year, but then ended up using my DVC pts for AKV....so I have yet to stay here....with my AP rate, I have decided to give CR a chance! Again...lol

Looking forward to enjoying the spacious rooms....and checking out the pool area...and walking to MK!
Thanks for all the info provided here.

Thanks CRfan! DO you thinlk the wing rooms may become a little bit more desirable once the pool area is enhanced?
I have seen some great photos from wing rooms already of some great views, and the close proximity can only be a bonus!!
I nevr realized the beach area over there either until looking at the CR photo thread! What a great spot! And if its true abt the rumor of cabana's as well....:thumbsup2

I would say the Garden Wing rooms are already popular since they are less expensive then the Tower rooms and because you don't hear anything happening on the 4th floor like you would in a Tower room.

Hi, since you were staying atrium club level, did you check in on the main floor or did someone meet you and check you in upstairs? also, how did you find the food offerings? did you rooms still look fresh (someone mentioned that they already looked a little worn)? and one more question, please. did they pipe in the music into the lounge during the fireworks? thanks in advance!

On the floor plans I've seen of the bathrooms at Contemporary, there's one sink in the bathroom and one sink in the toilet room. When I stayed there last November, there were two sinks in the bathroom (with very little counter space, alas) and none in the toilet room. That small room seemed to be a waste of precious space. Did I get a different kind of room, or are all the renovated rooms like this now?

They're all like this now (except the 14th floor, I think). We used the extra space in the toilet room to store our largest suitcase once we unpacked it. ;)

I may not be Brunette8706, however I can also answer your question.

Everytime my family and I have stayed on the Atrium Club floor we have always checked-in up on the 12th floor and had a bellman takes up there with our luggage. Also this past December when we arrived one of the Cast Members from the Atrium Club was waiting for us to arrive which had not happened before, so that was a nice thing to see. The food items are very good and we did not notice any problems with the rooms. Finally during Wishes if you stand on the balcony in the lounge they pipe the music in through a speaker system.
