not so when we were there in may. people would wait for the cm to take a group to the CG and tell them they were going to the bar. they would then hop the elevator with them and go up.

I guess it depends on the CM's, then. We were also there in May for dinner and they were turning people away who wanted to go up just for drinks.

Hi all! We leave for CR on Sunday morning. I am packed and ready to go! Does anyone want photos of anything special, or info that I might gather while there? 'd be happy to share the magic! Thanks for all the help you've given me as I get ready.

If you are able to take photos of the construction of Chef Mickey's Express I would love to see how much progress has been made.

Oh right that's also important to find out, so when you get a chance try to ask a lot of Cast Members to see if they keep telling you the same thing.

Maybe we had a slow night? I wonder too if it has anything to do with whether or not you are a guest at the CR?

If I had to guess I would doubt that. What if there was two sets of people at the California Grill check-in desk asking to just get a drink at the bar on a slow night. The 1st set are staying at the Contemporary and are told yes and the 2nd set not staying there is told sorry you can't come up.

Wouldn't bother me. There should be some perks for staying and paying what you pay at certain hotels. It's almost the same as saying a resort guest can use the gym at the hotel they're staying at and a visitor can't.

I suspect it has more to do with the time of day and the amount of business at the Grill. More likely to get up for a drink at 5 than 8?

I agree with you about that. I am just saying from a practical point of view it would not look good if this happened, unless they had a sign which allowed it so the Cast Member could claim they were following a specific policy.

I just booked Contemporary for 3 nights (10/29-11/1) because I thought it would be the best resort for attending the Halloween party! I had a family suite booked at ASMusic, and just couldn't stand it, I HAD to be at a monorail resort for the party, so I switched. Plus, I have ALWAYS wanted to stay there. We've got two weeks at a time share after that, but it will be so fun to begin our vacation that close to the Magic Kingdom.

Well I just booked 2 nights at the CR club level for the end of my trip in August. We are spending the 16-26th at the OKW in a one bedroom and then the next 2 nights at the CR club level.
I cant wait!

Yes as far as I know all rooms at CR have in-room computers with free internet

Everytime my family and I have stayed there since they put these computers in the internet has been free and I have heard nothing about them charging us to use it.

Ok, I have a garden wing booked and seen the pictures of views. In the tower if you did not choose a MK veiw or bay lake what would your view be? So I guess I am asking what is the least expensive room in the tower and what is the view? TIA
