I'm kinda curious how the Daily Fix fans feel about today's format change.

Personally, I didn't love it. I like the multi-person format for the longer shows, but for the Daily Fix, I liked that it was just one person in front of a background sharing a few news stories. That was more of what I'm looking for in a short 5-minute update.

That said ... if they switch to this format permanently, I'd probably continue watching. I didn't think it was bad ... it just had a different feel and I prefer the other format.

How does everyone else feel about it?

I kind of agree with you, Sarah. Didn't "dislike" today per se, but am used to the "one person" concept for The Fix, and would totally miss the round table for the weekly shows, so I guess it's a question of what we've become used to. And I'm a creature of habit. :)

That being said, I loved the "crickets" during today's Fix, and love the "little bit 'o humor and a smile" they usually try to interject. Makes my day brighter. I also can't WAIT to hear details on today's show about the giveaways in June, and I'm VERY excited for that!! :)

I think Pete was much more natural in this format. The usual Fix format seems somewhat unnatural for both Pete and JL.

I thought this was much more like a mini podcast which is very different from what it has been up until now. I like it better in that sense.

The only problem is what I've complained about all along. It needs to be available as an audio feed like the rest of the podcasts, especially since it is so long. The banner ad for the Fix still says, "Your daily Disney updates in 3 minutes" but this video is 8 minutes, 17 seconds. I'd love to be able to download the 30-40 minutes worth of Daily Fix episodes each week to listen to in the car. Very little of the info is time-sensitive so it really doesn't matter when you listen to it. I don't know how difficult it is for them to put it up that way but I do wish they would.

Also, does anyone really care about the weather report? If you aren't there, it is of no significance to you. If you are there, you're probably not depending on this video to get the forecast. You're probably just looking at the weather app on your phone or tuning in to WESH news when you're in your room. I don't see the weather info adding anything to the show.

I think that's exactly why I didn't like it. I liked that the Daily Fix was something different. This was just a 8-minute podcast.
One of the things that I thought was great about all the new content this year was the amount of variety. This felt like it was taking something different and turning it into the same format as everything else.

Or maybe I just don't like change.

The next version is in the works. All I can say is that Pete will wear only a speedo and JL will dress as Foxy Moxie.

Speedos are pretty good!
Well I've seen Moxie. I've never seen Pete in a Speedo, but I'm going to go out on a limb and pick the first option.

This particular daily fix was longer of course but the majority are around the 4 minute mark. To me that just seems like too little to put into a podcast feed and I think that's where Craig is coming from with that. I really like the daily fix because it's that quick little update about today's Disney news and happenings where if I hear about something that interests me I can go check it out especially the trending thread of the day or what's featured on the blog. Those two things aren't usually mentioned on the Tuesday show.

I think those who are there or will be coming up like the weather report. I know when I was there in January I did even though yes i was also checking the weather on my phone.

What I wish they would bring back into the daily fix is "this day in Disney history" they did it when the daily fix started but stopped.

I don't know that's just my take. I thought today's was a bit long I liked it when it was around 4-5 minutes.

I don't really like the (possible) new format (think he said he just felt like doing it today this way just 'cause).
I'd rather the round table format be just for the show(s).

But I'll be watching in any case.

Also, don't give into peer pressure, dis team. It's unnecessary to put the Daily Fix as an audio only option! :D

I appreciate them trying out something different and I thought it was fun as a one-off, but did feel repetitive to the weekly podcast round table. Maybe they have stats that show a lot of people that watch the Daily fix don't watch the weekly podcast but for those that do felt like this was a preview of what was coming up

I too wish they brought back the This Day in Disney History and would comment on that

On a side note, I fully am in the same camp as Pete with regards to the dining plan- adds stress trying to maximize value rather than just ordering what I ant

While I am thankful for anything that the team produces, I do have to agree with others who were not in favor of this format. For me, The Daily Fix was something different than the round table format of the regular show. Yesterday, it just felt like a normal show. I liked it better when it was unique (and thought the fun blue screen behind Pete and JL made it more like my morning news show - loved that!).

I am in agreement with this.

Also will add my voice to the "I dont know if its better, but I will still watch it in either format" camp. I was fine with the single person style and I am ok with the multi-person style. I like the brevity of the previous format, and didnt feel the new one was too long, but it could easily get that way with a couple of minor additions. I love the daily fix for its current news and brief commentary, I felt that the new show still had that, it just had news stories from multiple people. However, I think any topics that have back and forth discussions should be mentioned, and then readdressed on the weekly show news portion. I think that that is already happening, I just wanted to say that I think its a good idea to keep it that way.

I honestly wonder if they weren't just getting ready for the 1:00 podcast show, and decided to use the Fix broadcast to make sure everything was going to work for the podcast...
