Anyone have a rough "guestiment" how much the total cost in gas would be now (with these wonderful prices:rolleyes: )to drive from T.O. to WDW?

Approx $230 CDN -- but this was three weeks ago, and gas was slightly lessexpensive. Driving a Chrysler Intrepid.

Well in Dec we paid about 1.75 a gallon on our drive so I really don't think it will be all that much different to be honest. Our biggest thing was making sure we topped up the van at half tank much easier and better on the pocketbook.

My parents have friends who are returning this weekend from 7 weeks in St Petes Beach. When they called up to my folks to see how things were they complained that the price of gas was $2.00 per gallon in FLA.

Anyway, my dad, sweet retired guy that he is sat down and worked out what we would be paying a gallon compared to the US. All CDN prices are quoted in litres and Dad wondered what the conversion would work out to.

WE CANADIANS ARE PAYING APPROXIMATELY $3.99 PER GALLON COMPARED TO $2.00 PER GALLON IN THE US.

Even with the exchange rate Canada is still paying more!

We just got back on Monday and the cost of the trip was $205 U.S. return from the St. Catharines area. Gas ranged in price from a low of $1.89 in the Carolinas and Georgia to $2.15 in Niagara Falls New York. We paid $1.95/gallon right on Disney property last week. We were driving a Ford Windstar minivan.

We are thinking of driving to Disney in the Fall. We are driving from Ottawa. This may be a stupid question but anyhoot, the comments on this board about gas prices, are these prices ($200 - $300) for one way to Florida or a rough total for both ways? Thanks for your help!!

That would be a return trip not just one way. We only paid about 250 for our drive down and back including a hotel stay on the way there.
