THE POR is the only moderate that can fit 5 people. We have 2 boys 12 and 10 and a 5 year old girl. From what I have been reading we will have to stay in AB as they are the only one with trundle beds. Does anyone have a room # we should request? Thanks.

I am interested in this too. Does anyone know what nights he will be there? Also, what is it like in the River Roost and what do they serve?

Here is Bob Jackson's website. You can find his schedule there.

The River Roost is a lounge that serves adult beverages and has a menu of several appetizer-types of food. Dh and I each had a couple of drinks, but the kids did bring their refillable mugs from the food court. I saw other families with kids do the same--having mom and dad enjoy adult beverages from the bar and the kids use their mugs. Our kids are old enough to go and get their own refills, which was nice. Service from the bartenders for our drinks was prompt and friendly!

The tables filled up quickly! I walked by at about 7:45 to find most of the lounge full. I quickly ordered a drink and grabbed a table, then called my family back in the room to tell them to head over soon.

We did enjoy the show and am glad we made time to do so in our schedule! It was extra nice to be able to walk back to our room after the show and not worry about using Disney transportation to go "home" for the evening.

Hi Incredimom3:

The POR pool does not have a lazy river, per se...but the shape of it sort of meanders around some "islands" to give parts of it a "river" type feel, but it does not push you along, like a real lazy river.

Does disney do something for movie releases at the Resorts? If so would Port Oleans have something special during christmas when The Frog Princess opens?

Does anyone know if POR has the Ipod dock in the room? When we stayed in WL in July they had one in the room. DH gave my mother his plug in the wall charger for his ipod and now he doesn't have one. If POR has the docking stations in the rooms then we won't have to purchase one. TIA

Not as of Februrary. We were just there.

Generally speaking no, but POFQ would be such a perfect fit that they might do something.

Hey Everyone: Just a quick post to say I had a blog published on the site about Yehaa Bob's show at Port Orleans Riverside. I thought some here might be interested.

Ok calling all experts, can someone tell me if the trundle bed stays lowered to the ground or if it rised at all? From what I can tell from all the pics I have seen, it just slides out from under the bed and stays on the ground. :confused3

I know this seems pretty minimal to worry about, but with the pics of snakes in the room, there is NO way I will let anyone of my girls sleep down on the floor! Give me a little break I am from Minnesota and the snakes we have FREAK me and my husband out, let alone snakes from down south! :rotfl:

Yes I know they could probably get into they beds too, but I prefer not thinking of that unpleasant thought!:scared1:

the trundle does *not* raise up off the floor, but it is a few inches up b/c it is on casters. We did not see any snakes around POR (although we did see one at Typhoon Lagoon!), although we did see several bunnies and lots of lizards. If you are really concerned, you could ask for a second floor room, which we ended up getting even though we didn't want one!

I have stayed there numerous times and never heard of snakes in the rooms. Alligators yes, but snakes no. LOL

Seriously, you have nothing to worry about.

I was talking to a CM about the room and she suggested that we have 2 pack-n-plays for the twins instead of using the trundle and one Pack n play. Is there enough space for this?

Technically yes. However, you're going to be packed into that room. You'd have to put one between the two double beds and one on the side nearest the door where the trundle pulls out. You can do it as long as you don't mind tight quarters. Good Luck!:goodvibes

So, I hace combed through this thread and can not seem to find it.....
Are the hairdryers those little white ones mounted to the wall? Or are they different. Please say they are different..I really do not like those white ones :snooty:
