We just returned from POFQ on Sunday. The boat from our resort stopped first at then end where DQ is, then it went on & dropped us off at the end where Rainforest Cafe is. HTH.

Yes, that is a great help. Did you always use the boat to DTD or sometimes use your car? If you used your car, was it much faster than going by boat?

We took the boat twice. We didn't have a rental, so we had to rely on the buses. Honestly, they were hit or miss & the waits were often 20-25 minutes. We'd have 3 buses for Epcot in a row & none for MK. Then we had to stop at several POR stops before moving on to our destination. I'd definitely take the boat to DTD. It was relaxing & you actually get to sit!

ETA: I think I timed the boat trip & it was 16 minutes.

Refillable Mug question.

Is there only one location to use them at this resort?

There are two rows of drinks dispensers in the foods courts at POR and at POFQ, you can use either for your refillable mugs. You can't use them at places like the pool bars, etc. though.

Wow, that's new! The resort boats used to only go to the one dock, i.e. the one next to the Rainforest Cafe. Then you had to change to an internal Downtown DIsney ferry if you wanted to go over to West Side.

I'd love to hear of other people's recent experiences to find out if this is a new regular route or just a one-off.

Wait Wait! This is my first time going to DTD (We went when it was Lake Buena Vista and I was about 7). BUT! There's a Dairy Queen?!?! NOW this trip is perfect! I know where I'll be every night. :rotfl:

DQ = Disney Quest, but I agree, a Dairy Queen would be perfection! :goodvibes :mickeybar

I'm pretty sure they meant DisneyQuest.

Oh boo. I was hoping for Dairy Queen. I guess I'll just have to settle for Mickey Pops. Haha.

I just called to request a certain area. We arrive Saturday but they can't find me on the system - am I too early to have been transferred over or should I be worried?!

Calls to the resort (even from the room) go to a call center, not the resort. S/he will tell you you've reached the front desk, but not true. These operators can check your requests or add requests to a reservation. If you did not use a TA , then call reservations and have any requests added now (these are best added when the reservation is made). If you used a TA, ask them to call asap. :thumbsup2

I understand why Disney changed to a call center - the front desk of every resort would be inundated with calls from soon to arrive guests making requests. ;)

What I do not agree with is changing the room phone "front desk" to the same call center. Once at the resort and a registered guest, we should be able to reach the front desk directly. ::yes::

Have a GREAT trip!! :goodvibes

We're going back!!!!:thumbsup2 After a brief booking with ASMU through expedia, we got the free dining for November pin code and now we are going back to POR for 9 nights!!!!! This will be our last year for POR( the youngest will be turning 3 next January) so we are going to live it up!!
We will be squished:rotfl2:, but we don't care. We did it last year and we'll do it again. We are usually only in the room to sleep anyway.

So excited!!:cool1:
