Welcome Shellyp! How long will you be at POR? We'll be there the 28th through July 7. Maybe we'll run into you at the pool or food court!

We just switched to POR for our trip 9/25 to 10/2 I am very very excited I am going to try to read thru all of these pages. Any basics I should know?

:cool1: Hey, me too, sort of. I just added one night at POR and then we transfer to BWI for 7 nights (4/3 package) and then 3 nights at Double Tree in DTD. All this because I realized that adding 2 days to our 8 day PH WPF&M tickets would only cost around $30 for all 5 of us and because we're driving down for the first time so I wanted R&R time built in on the front and back end of the holiday. At least that's how I'm justifying it.

Good to know that there's others out there doing somewhat the same thing (rationalization-wise) ;)

I am getting ready to book our December trip. We are going to do 3 nights at POR (just because I HAVE to see it...looks beautiful), 2 nights at POP and 3 nights at AKV. I would love it if you could let me know how it was doing 3 different resorts in the same stay?? That's the only thng I am concerned about. It seems as though Disney makes it fairly easy on you though. I have to do the AKV as a surprise to my DH. So, we are going to try it!! If you could, let me know when you get back about how it worked out for you!! Thanks, Erin

2 things..... make your ADr's if you have not! AND have a great time! We will there when you are. We are hoping for and Alligator Bayou room.

Reading everyone's recent posts sure had made me want to go back to POR sooner rather than later. But the iffyness of Chrysler (my partner's employer) has put a kink in that dream. Maybe January 2010. It seems so far away....

Do you think a trundle bed will be big enough for a 10 year old? Do they also do roll away beds? I ask as my husband has back problems & has a bed to himself & my 10 year old son doesn't really want to share with his mum anymore!!!!

My 18 year old son, and 17 year old nephew have slept on the trundles, so I don't think your 10 year old will have a problem.
They do have roll away beds for the mansions section, but they are pretty tight about where they put them.
If the number in your party does not exceed the number of people the beds can sleep, you may not be able to get one.

We'll be there Sept 4-12.
It's the first time my wife and I will be down there alone, and we are looking forward to it. We usually have a party of 8-10 with her sister and fam as well as the in-laws.
We can't wait to snack around the world again!!!

10 year old should be fine on the trundle. My 13 year old daugher is 5'8" tall and she still likes to use the trundle!

I was hoping you could all help me.

I am looking for what I should be requesting building wise. I would like a corner room close to the main dining area and a quiet pool I would also like to be in the mainsions.

Does anyone have pictures of a corner room?

Just did the Online Check IN! :woohoo: I hate waiting in line to checkin, hope this works out.

Last year waited 1 hour at SSR.

Were you able to do a room request with the online check-in?

There is no place to enter a specific room request using online check-in. If I remember correctly, you can choose a pack and play, refrigerator (which I didn't quite understand because all of the moderates have them!), and there may have been a ground floor option as well. I had made my specific request when I made my reservation. When I checked in with the online check-in, the room I had been assigned was farther away from the main building than I had wanted (but I did get the Magnolia Bend section and top floor requests met). It took about 5 minutes to check in. It would've been quicker, except I asked for a different room and the cast member had to get the case of water I had delivered to the resort.
