So many posts to catch up on....
[color=9932CC]RRBB[/color], thank for keeping me posted. My ISP decided to change DNS Servers without telling me. What that means is that I could get incoming mail, but could not get outside to the net. I found this out at 4:30 this afternoon.

1. Oil Change is actually a program that once you install in your computer will go onto the WWW and locate the best, most current drivers for your hardware. This means that it updates how Windows works with your computer.
2. I asked some people at a tech support site that I frequent about a program that will automatically make your computer run better. I normally manually fix a lot of the little bugs that slow the computer way down. Since I don't live close enough to make a house call, I wanted to get you a program that does all of the work automatically. here is their response...
To answer your question about a software to clean up an operating system we do not have any. We don't have much end user software as most of our products are geared toward Administrators. I can recommend one I use at home for my operating system, but I use it with XP. They have a free download for a 30 day trial, and I have found it very useful. Tech TV has a show called 'Call for Help', in which they usually will advertise 'Free Ware.' You can post questions with them as well.

3. As far as my view of the colors go, I would be happy to give my color up for the Tag Fairy, I would happily choose another. I agree with [color=9932CC]RRBB[/color] thinking that we should pick colors in the "Drop Down Box" that is in the color section of the "Add Post" page. This would be to simplify it for those of us who can't seem to do such a great job freehanding HTML commands (like Color)
4. I think we should leave at least one space for the Tag Fairy to respond, as we have seen in 2 of our polls, the Tag Fairies have added to them. It the snack poll, a tag fairy actually posted their choice and called themself a "More Practical TF". so I was alluding to that...

[color=D2691E]geffric[/color], it sounds like you have an older laptop that has seen better days. If you have a floppy drive, you can copy the My Documents folder onto however many floppies you need. Most computer stores that do service can sell you a new hard drive (that doesn't rattle) and "Ghost" all of your files from the old to the new. Again, I would ask around for some recommendations because I have also heard some horror stories. You all know how much I hate to complain etc. but our last visit at the CR was terrible. I had to write. They either need to fire some of their staff or better train them. I feel terrible but it needed to be done.
