Actually, my fifth grader's teacher kept going on what a nice, quiet boy Eric is. (I had to look down at the name on the report card, because I thought for sure she had the wrong kid. LOL.)

As someone suggested, I did a Google search on the question
"What is the best flavor of a lifesaver"

The third result (the first two were for a Project Lifesaver) is linked to below:

This "Written Assignment: Advertising" says that the Red Wins, with Orange a close second. I also found research that there were 4 Reds per pack, and 3-2 of the rest of the colors.

Personally I like all of the flavors, but I bet NataliesDaddy doesn't like any of them.

My favorite flavor is Green, but my sister likes the red ones.

I have been hiding from RRBB today, she keeps threatening to give me a bubble bath and a trip in the DRYER. OK, I got a little wet on splash mountain...I am sorry Barb but I can't come over to play. I would prefer the game of Tug-Of-War to the DRYER. it makes me dizzy!!!!!!!!

I gotta go back and hide....

I think we're too late on the Lifesavers debate. Apparently there was an internet poll last spring to decide what flavors should be in the basic 5-flavor pack. ORANGE, LEMON and LIME were all losers and are being replaced by RASPBERRY, BLACKBERRY, and WATERMELON - with CHERRY and PINEAPPLE staying in the lineup.

Well, obviously it's best to just let sleeping dogs lie and I know I'm a little late getting in on this lifesaver debate, but it's a good thing I came when I did.

If you could all just refer to your bibles, (we do all have bibles, don't we?), you can clearly see that the only way to God is through the clear-colored thereby more pure, pineapple flavored lifesaver. God said "eat no other lifesaver from the lifesaver tree". As it is his command, so be it what we should doeth. Those who desire a life hereafter and wish to walk the path as His servant, should not be led astray. Do not listen to the devil

as he tells you to eat the forbidden colors. You see, the red represents the color of the devil

and the green is like the devil saying "green light, go, go, do it, do it, eat from the forbidden colors tree". My brothers and sisters, we shall rise up against the color-loving lifesaver eaters. You just have to want to change, try to change, and God will lead you on your rightful path. Mmmmmmm, now don't you agree that they truly are the yummiest of flavors? You are now saved!

It's Ok, I know you didn't even realize what it is you were doing. You've been brainwashed by the popularization of the colored life-savers by the media and society's acceptance of them. Before you know it they will be trying to legalize the marriage of the forbidden flavors and we will all be tempted by such flavors as limorange and orancherry.

My eye - thanks to everyone who has voiced concern. I'm still taking a wait and see approach to it. I have a neighbor and friend who is a pharmacist and I may ask his opinion if the color doesn't clear up today. As a general rule, I only see the doctor if I'm pregnant. It doesn't hurt at all at the moment. I did research "pink eye" and every type of eye infection that is referred to lists tearing, oozing and such as a symptom. Nothing has oozed or seeped from my eye. Just redness, streaking and pain. I feel pretty sure I must have gotten something in it and injured it somehow.

OK, llebrekniT, I have to...

As a reformed RED lifesaver lover I can tell you quite unequivocally that the RED lifesavers are the most heinous flavor known to human kind. It isn't just the Bible that tells us this, but we all know it instinctively. I can remember the years of therapy to cure me from liking the RED lifesavers. I hate the RED lifesavers and everything they represent. People who eat the RED lifesavers need to be saved, but I hate them all of the same. (Blah Blah Blah......)

What do you think? How is that for the "Spirit" of the DB

How about a round of your favorite lifesaver flavor (after a good balanced breakfast of Cereal, Milk, Juice, Toast and Jam)

Being an official member of the TFPP (I still don't know what the P's stand for), I felt obligated to open this thread.

HOWEVER! I ain't readin' all 23 pages!

Sooooo - just know I dropped in, and I like green lifesavers, love pineapple in any shape or form - and I'm a saved Christian who isn't going "down under" for eating the green ones. I'll check with my pastor on Sunday just to verify this theory (I could be wrong, it's happened before).

Send the green ones to me - I'll eat 'em!

Please feel free to join our discussions. I must apologize for the last few posts in parody of certain individuals on the DB. We really aren't a violent sort, but to read some of their posts one can not help but find some humor in the "I'm Right and your wrong attitude." There is no sacrilege intended by any people posting on this thread, nor are there many intentional flames. We have just had a time where one of our members was getting so very frustrated that he needed an intervention....

At any rate, welcome, have a Mickey Bar, and join in the discussion!!! We like diverse people over here on the light side where there is no hate.

One more thing, I have trouble seeing some of the lighter colors on my monitor, just an FYI. Also, should we like give everybody their own color code for their names? I mean don't we need consistency for the Tag Fairy?

As the person who started this colorful name thing, I object to assigning colors for many reasons. One, I wanna bepink. There is only one pink color available. Now somebody else won't be happy. Second, there are only so many colors, what happens when we run out? Third, who the heck can keep up with who's who in the color-chain? Just my opinion. I will, of course, follow suit if y'all decide to assign colors. As long as I'm pink, that is.

Geffric - thanks for the concern. I am being careful where the kids are concerned, however I am becoming more and more certain that I have scratched, injured or have an ingrown eyelash irritating my eye. It is not hurting at all today and seems to be fading. I don't touch it except to put drops in and wash my hands before and after doing so.

What happened to us starting a new poll? And we need a new question. Who wants to ask it?

Tinkbackwards ~ hope the eye is better soon! My FIL had symptoms similar to those you are describing and it ended up being a detached retina... if it keeps hurting I'd suggest a visit to the eye doctor.

That's 5 minutes in time-out for ohanafamily and Tinkbackwards for making me think I was on the debate board when I logged on!

As the person who started Tagliarchy polls....I think we should DEFINITELY have another poll! Maybe I need a new tag that says...."Keeper of the Tagliarchy Polls?"
