The 2 a.m. phone calls that I always get are wrong numbers on my cell phone. And the drunken doof calls again 3-4 times...um, hello, if you didn't get the number right the first time, re-dial it manually! Moron...

And yes, my shade on that window dried. But there's a weird water-soapy smell in my room now. And every time the dog comes in, she sneezes several times. Of course, that could just be the dust...

Unfortunately with my parents failing health my late night calls are that someone is being transported to the hospital by Paramedics.

Except the other night at around 11:00 p. m. we were asleep and my cell phone went off and it was my parents ring tone , I jumped up to get the phone, my wife started getting dressed, she figured we were headed to the hospital...it was my dad, my mom was mad at him and wouldn't talk to he so he was lonely, so he called to see how we were......

I'm off on a tour de cemeteries to put flowers on both of my grandma's graves and then I'm headed to my mom's house where I am in charge of brunch. This was rationalized because clearly my mom shouldn't be in charge of cooking on Mother's Day, my dad is of course useless when it comes to cooking, and it's my little sister's actual birthday (17th) today, so she didn't want to have to do any work, either. Both sides of the family are coming over, so I'm sure there's an aunt or two that will be willing to help me. I hope all the moms have a lovely, wonderful, perfect day!!!!!!!!

Thanks for asking, Goofster! Yes, it turned out very nicely and I even had help! By the time I got to my mom's house my younger sister was still asleep so I brought her birthday breakfast in bed to wake her up and then we gave my mom her gift and then all the family came over. It was actually a very nice day.

I just tackled my desk. It's all packed up, cleaned out, etc. Oy. That was not fun. My goal is to be out by tomorrow afternoon because my sister will be in town starting tomorrow night. That way I can just stay at home while she's here. We'll see if that actually happens.
