Sitting in the lounge this morning having breakfast I kept thinking about all the new changes coming to the poly. It's going to be strange to see those villas out on the water and no longer having the volcano. But I guess change is inevitable. This place won't feel the same though.

Well one good thing tho is they drastically scaled back the DVC they were going to put at the Poly.. Lol

Part of the DVC construction will include changing the volcano pool, Tikiman reported that while there will be DVC coming to Poly it won't be in the big scale it was originally planned.

Instead of getting rid of some of the longhouses they will supposedly refurb some into DVC villas & then there will be some if the cabanas on the water but not as many as first thought..

wow-I did not realize they were getting rid of the Volcano. We stayed at the Poly back in 1985 when I was 10-my very first Disney trip! When we went back last year to visit while staying at WL, it seemed like everything was different over at the Poly other than the monorail.

I understand your concerns however I would not get too concerned until the official announcement is made for any changes at the Poly. While some changes are certainly coming, nothing has been officially announced. At this point all reports are just rumour and conjecture even if they do eventually happen. We just dont know yet. The changes that Tikiman reported on just a few short weeks ago have already changed drastically. He is the first to caution that the info he gets is not set in stone and we all know Disney plans change contantly!

According to tikiman's Facebook page they are taking out the volcano and the lobby waterfall. Tahiti building is becoming DVC and then the villas on the water. Lots of changes. We probably won't be back here to stay until its all done. Dh and the boys will be happy because they miss yc/bc.

I really love the poly, but Dh and the kids prefer the Epcot area. I get to stay over on this side from time to time but I will never win them over.

It's a rum punch type of concoction. It's pretty good.

Wow!! The food at WC looks amazing. Do you know if they let kids share. I have two 10 year olds and I don't think they would be able to eat all of that by themselves. It seems a waste to pay $30.00 for each of them when they simply couldn't eat that much.
