The Murphy's are LIVE from the Beach Club (4/30-5/7)

Everyone is pouring out of AK as we walk in. Which is a good sign! We get our wristbands quickly and head to EE. The wait says 10 minutes but it was a walk-on. Love this ride!!! Love the yeti!!!! We rode twice very quickly and then headed to Dinoland. We did Primeavel Whirl, waited about 3-5 minutes tops, then headed over to Dinosaur. It was pretty much a walk-on too. We waited about 5 minutes. As we were getting off Dinosaur we hear girls screaming! It was a bunch of Disney Channel people. Cory in the House, Jake Ryan from Hannah Montana, Mitch Musso, and a bunch of others I don't know. They were super nice and took pics with the kids and talked to them.

The kids were thrilled!!!!!

So now it's about 8:00 PM and DH and the oldest DS decide to go do Kahli River Rapids... I say No Thanks because I don't want to get soaking wet unless it's sunny enough for me to dry off! So younger DS and I head to It's Tough to be a Bug. Both of these attractions are also walk-ons. We finish the park quickly and head back to BC to catch Illuminations!!!!

The bus from AK is Swan, Dolphin, Yacht Club, Beach Club, Boardwalk all on one bus. Which I hate but I know it's because the park isn't crowded. So we settle in for a long trip back to the resort. We're the 4th stop and very glad to get off. I'm not a happy bus sharing person.

We quickly buy some refillable mugs ($53 but hopefully worth it!) and head to our room just as Illuminations is starting. We have a great view!!! We can't see the lower stuff but can see all the fireworks. Our room sort of looks over the back of England. Very nice view for Standard I must say!

After that we are ready for bed.... a long flight, a busy day, need sleep!

Glad you got your requests made and that you had such a smooth first day. How neat that you got to meet some DC actors!

We LOVE Boma...can't wait to get back there in August. The spicy authentic African food is right up our alley.

Howdy folks! We are back for an afternoon break! Went to MK this morning.... got there around 9:00 or 9:30 after stoping at the marketplace downstairs for breakfast. Muffins and cinnamon rolls using our DDP snack credits! YUMMM! The bus was full but we were lucky enough to get seats. Today was EE for MK (oops, I still can't get out of the habit of saying early entry) but the crowds were not bad at all. 20 minutes for SM and BTM... walk-ons for HM, Pooh, SW, MPhil, and Pirates was about 5 minutes. The crowds are not bad at all today. And the weather is PERFECT!!! Hot, but no humidity so it feels great. Here are some pics from this morning.......

Ok, there is going to be a wait on the pics from today because Photobucket is moving really slowly! I might be exceeding my bandwidth.

Anyway, after riding rides all morning we ate lunch at Cosmic Ray's. They have a new policy that you can't sit down at a table unless you have a tray of food. Which is nice because people can't hog tables and sit there without eating or while someone is purchasing. But I did see some very frazzled moms with multiple kids waiting and I felt sorry for them that they couldn't get a table and sit down. But I think overall it's a good policy.

After lunch we did Pooh and the Pooh playground. Then left the park around 1:30. The bus back to BC was just YC/BC which was nice. We were the last ones to get on so we had to stand, but that was better than waiting for the next one!!

DH and the kids are down at the pool... SAB... waiting on me so I better run! I'll let these pics upload while we're down there and then post them when I get back.

I'm glad you're having a great time, but I'm soooo jealous!!! It looks like it is going to rain here all weekend, so enjoy the sunny weather!

We noticed they were doing the seating thing when we were there for spring break, but thought it was just due to the crowds. Maybe they are instituting it year round. I know it sounds like a pain, but the crowds really did move through very smoothly.

How fun to run into some Disney Channel stars--my dds would have gone wild over the guy from Hannah Montana.

I've always wondered about Boma--so thanks for the info on the spicyness factor. My DH would probably love it, but me, not so much.

Last year when we were at the Beach Club we were not far from the room you have. Ours overlooked the lake and we had a full balcony with view of the Boardwalk--maybe we were on the other side of the hall from you--but we were pretty close to being "above" the Marketplace. I loved walking down there with my refillable mug.

Glad you're off to such a great start of your trip.
