The Murphy's are LIVE from the Beach Club (4/30-5/7)

We land at 12:50... the kids are hoping to swing by MK before we have dinner at Boma... so hopefully that plan works out. We're heading to EMHs at AK tomorrow night from 6-9! :thumbsup2

16 hours to go!!!!!!

Just got back from going on a field trip with my oldest's class. Now I'm sitting here at my desk gluing LGMHs together! I used a glue stick because I couldn't find any other glue... so I hope they hold. I'm going to hang them from the stroller and from my fanny pack I think. But I just realized I don't have any ribbon.... hmmmmm.... might have to get creative right now and figure something out! :upsidedow

Most of the packing is done! Hoping to load the car tonight so in the morning we'll just get up and go!!!! :woohoo:

Have a great trip! I'll be watching this thread for some updates.

BE SAFE!

I have been reading your report for the past couple of days and just wanted to post to wish you all a fantastic trip. I'm having to live vicariuosly through trip reports right now since my next visit to the World isn't until next summer.:sad1:

I have been reading. I hope you have a great trip!! I can't wait to hear how your first day went.

Hey Erika.

I just watched your family on TV today. I love the fans guide to WDW. We have dvr now so I can watch it any time I want now. You all would be a blast to vacation with. Will be watching this thread for your updates.

Ooooh...hope you had safe travels yesterday and that you're enjoying some SAB today!!!

FINALLY!!! Here I am!!!! I tried to get online last night about a million times but couldn't. I guess Beach Club has a limit to how many people can be online at a time. So after trying and trying I gave up and went to bed! ;)

Here comes the report!!!!!!:thumbsup2

Ok folks... we arrived in Orlando safe and sound and quickly ran downstairs to catch ME. We really lucked out because a bus to Beach Club was just leaving and we got the last 4 seats! :) The lines for the value resorts were HUGE!!!! I wonder how long those people stood there waiting for buses to come!!!

Check-in went very smoothly. We were given the exact room we requested.... full balcony, daybed, Illuminations view. :woohoo: So we quickly unpacked, changed clothes, and headed to the Studios!!! :cheer2:

We took the boat and had our first Magical Moment!!! Our youngest DS, Connor, was asked to come up front and do the announcements over the microphone... he was so embarrassed but did a great job. :lovestruc The captain gave him his official "co captain" license which was so cute, DS was thrilled!!! :goodvibes

We arrived at the Studios and the weather was gorgeous!!!! Sunny, warm, no humidity, very comfortable and just what we needed after leaving home that morning in the 30's!!

We started off at Guest Relations to trade our AP vouchers for our new APs. There was no line so it went quickly. We ran into the park just in time to catch the new Pixar parade. :cool1: The kids enjoyed it, but I sort of liked the Stars in Motorcars parade better I think. But it was fun.

We headed down the street right behind the parade and decided to do the Great Movie Ride... it was a walk-on... no wait! :)

Ok, here are some pics! :)

Here are DH and the boys waiting for the boat to the studios.....

Ok, so after the Great Movie Ride we hop a bus to AKL for dinner at Boma. The bus was right there waiting for us, so we got right on and were on our way. :) We arrived at AKL and both commented about how glad we were we had switched our ressie to BC after reading all the threads about the construction, noise, etc. We didn't see the construction ourselves but I was sad to read another post on this board about the problems it has caused people.

Dinner at Boma was yummy! The food was very spicy, but the desserts were out of this world!!! :goodvibes Zebra domes, pineapple upside down cake, cookies, etc, I could have made that my dinner easily. :rotfl: DH and I agreed that the main entrees were tasty, but very spicy if you aren't use to it. The pork ribs had lots of crushed red pepper, and the salmon and potatoes were very hot as well. So be warned if you don't like spicy food you probably won't like the meat dishes. But they had tons of vegetables, rice, soups, etc, too. All in all it was a good meal... but I'm not sure we'll come again anytime soon.

Now it's time to head to AK extra magic hours!!!!!
