Good morning!
We made it through our first full day at WDW! I have to say I have a new apppreciation for people in wheelchairs because it was torture for me. I was constantly worried we were going to crash into someone, especially in areas where the crowds are thicker. People have a tendency to walk at an angle and also change directions very quickly, I almost had a few folks in my lap at some points!
The biggest fear was someone running into my left foot because it's so sensitive to the slightest touch. So I was emotionally worn out my the time we left MK!
Crowds weren't too bad in the morning but as usual got worse after lunch. Belle was up to 80 minutes when we left so we never ended up taking the kids to see that. We did however get a FP for Mermaid.
As far as the wheelchair goes the kids were disappointed my pain didn't get them any FOTL access except for BTMRR. I think they were hoping Mommy's injury might turn out to be a benefit, but every ride we encountered just had wheelchairs going along with everyone else. I never noticed just how ramp friendly the lines are.
I uploaded some pics from yesterday, everything is on that photobucket album link I posted earlier.
I have to report that our whole family was extremely disappointed with the new Test Track. The building is beautiful and the interaction you get before and after the ride were fine, but the ride itself was majorly disappointing. First of all the cars we created weren't the cars they kept showing us at each testing station. But even with that aside, there isn't anything "happening" on the ride. There is a voice that is telling you things about your cars performance but we missed not having any physical effects. Basically its just the old ride's track with everything taken away and lights added. Afterwards the kids said they felt like they just rode a commercial for Chevy. LOL Out of the mouths of babes!
Just noticed last night the ESPN club arcade is gone. It looks like the Boardwalk Bakery is taking over that spot to expand. The pizza window and seashore sweets are both still open. The main theme pool is open as well.
Oh, forgot to report on last night's lounge. The 2 hot items were crab rangoon and some type of spinach pastry. These are the same as the as the ones YC/BC has. Was hoping for something different over here at the BWI just to shake things up, but no big deal. We had an amazing dinner at Hacidenda... started with chips and guacamole, then had the taco trio appetizers, then the shrimp taco dinner, all were very good! Plus the added bonus of Illuminations to end our meal.
For dessert we grabbed some goodies from the Karamel Kuche... chewy caramel bar for me, yummmm
Not sure what we will do today, we might go to AK. Tonight is dinner at Crystal Palace. Pics coming up next!
