Sorry about the piled-up homework, but your time with your family is totally worth it! I never feel guilty taking my daughters out of school! They're only
little for so long....my oldest is 8 and I don't know how she got so old!!

Your pictures are great...I think the new Pooh entrance is great, it was always so meager looking, and didn't do justice to what is a favorite ride of ours. Are we the only nerdy ones who yell "Hooray" at the end?!

Thanks again for sharing, we've booked our next trip while enjoying yours!

Erin

:cool1: Day TWO!

Great review and pictures!!

We're tossing around some possible resorts for our next trip this August-- we've been thinking about WL or AKL (or VWL/AKV). It seems like you guys enjoyed AK better? We were just concerned about the bus waiting times and how long it takes to get to the parks because AKL seems to be kind of "out there." Let me know what you guys thought when you have a chance. Thank you and glad you had a great trip!!

That's a common misconception about AKL. Really the only park you are close to at WL is MK. You can get there on the boat pretty quickly. However, the bus transportation at WL isn't great. They almost always share a route with Poly/CR/GF in some combination. AKL doesn't share with anyone. Also, if you stay at Kidani, you are the first pick up, so no matter how many people are staying at Jambo we always had a seat. The six nights we stayed we never waited long for a bus to any of the parks. Five minutes or so tops. I would stay at Kidani again in heartbeat! Nothing beats the size of the room we had, after the 4 of us crammed into a concierge room at YC last spring this was like heaven on earth. :cloud9: Honestly, I have zero desire to stay in a regular room again after having two bathrooms, separate sleeping areas, separate TVs, full kitchen, washer/dryer, double balconies, its the best experience we've ever had on property. :goodvibes And we've stayed in many villas before, many times at OKW especially, but this one was the best. Hands down, no contest. Because you get all the luxury of staying in a resort, interior hallways, gorgeous lobby, awesome bar, all the animals, the kids club was amazing, nice arcade area, beautiful resort, etc, but the size of a villa. Its a feeling you just don't get at OKW, SSR, etc. We had some family staying at BCV the same week and they were very unimpressed with their two bedroom villa there. Our one bedroom was bigger than their two bedroom and a hundred times nicer.

could you see animals from your balcony at AKL? We have ressies for end of May at AKL CL and I hope we'll see some animals. :thumbsup2

The only people who for sure see animals are the ones who book savannah view. We were standard view and just lucked out. I hope you get a great room!!! Even if you don't there are tons of viewing areas all over AKL. :)
