The Mr. & Mrs. Meeting Mickey in May- TAKE 3, with Bonus Features *Updated 7/11*

Loving the report so far! :) We're going to miss you at the World by just a few days! Our trip is July 2nd-11th :)

Back in our room, we found this guy:

and this guy,,,

Picture693.jpg

We enjoyed the pool and before we knew it, it was time to get ready for our ADR at California Grill.

Hello Contemporary, see you soon!
Picture697.jpg

We checked in and were whisked off to the special Cali Grill elevator. We were given a pager and headed out to the roof to get amazing pictures of the view!

Picture709.jpg

Before we could get too comfortable high atop WDW, our pager went off and we were now whisked off to our table, which was, for the second year in a row, a MK window seat! Hello, Wishes!

Picture710.jpg

DH and I both ordered the oak fired filet here with the au gratin potatoes..it is amazing! This is one of my favorite restaurants and it’s not because I can see the entire MK whilst I eat, although that does help, it is because that filet is so darn good, and I’m not really a big steak eater...DH is, and he loves it too.

See?

Picture711.jpg

Our ADR was scheduled for 7:40...Wishes was slated to begin at 9:00--so we ate really slowly and never felt rushed or anything by our server.

For dessert, I wrote down that we had the Sweet Celebration and the Strawberry napoleon. I remember both of them being divine.
Not quite remembering what the Sweet Celebration was...

This may or may not be a picture of it...
Picture714.jpg

This is what you get when you don’t write a TR right away.

Obligatory dinner shot:

Picture716.jpg

And then...

the lights were dimmed...

and the music that we all know and love was piped in...

Wishes...

Picture713.jpg

I need a better camera so I can get better night time shots of the castle!

Continued in next post.....

Seeing that this was a relaxing, take the day as it comes type of day...we decided to try something new that we had never done before while in WDW!

Mini-golfing at Winter Summerland!

We had received a coupon from our Mickey mail and decided to finally try it.

We jumped back in our car and followed the beautiful purple and blue signs to our destination.

I believe we got a little lost and ended up in an eerily empty Blizzard Beach parking lot at first, but eventually we found our way. We weren’t even sure if it was open because when we arrived there were no cars in the parking lot!

Picture759.jpg

It was open, though, but we were the only ones there!! We had a blast taking our time going through all 18 holes. This place is amazingly themed and ridiculously cute!

Just see for yourself:

We had so much fun being dorky and playing around in there! It really felt like it was Christmastime! I don’t know if it is always this empty, but if you ever have a free evening, try it. Especially if they still give out that coupon in the Mickey Mail packet! We want to try the other mini-golf course, Fantasia Gardens one day. I hear that one is harder than Winter Summerland.

Laughing all the way back to WL, we considered swimming again, but decided instead to call it an early night since we’d be visiting Epcot again tomorrow.

Up next: Epcot, More Future World, please

Day 5 - May 5, 2010: Epcot, We Meet Again & Love the Land!

I swear we had high hopes of making many rope drops on this trip, but it just never seemed to happen. I think because it had only been about 10 months since we had last been to WDW, we didn’t feel the intense rush to hit everything since we had been there not too long before. Either way, we woke up from our slumber at around 9:00 and began getting ready.

Somehow, my sunglasses broke, if memory serves me correct, I think DH sat on them the day before because I left them on the bed, which is a perfectly acceptable place to leave your sunglasses if you are not wearing them. ;) Now, there was NO way to get through the rest of the week without the sunglasses...that Florida sun is just way too bright, plus I think my contacts make me more sensitive to light. :cool2: While DH got ready, I headed down to the WL lobby’s gift shop to find some new ones. I came back with a cute pair of pink ones, which would later need to be returned...stay tuned for that.

Picture001.jpg

There they are in all their pinky goodness.

I told DH to hurry it up and soon we were out the door, but not before first taking a lobby picture.

Image0023.jpg

We drove to Epcot and arrived around 10:00 not exactly Rope Drop, but good enough. Hey, at least the World Showcase wasn’t open yet.

First things first, we trekked all the way to the Land Pavilion to grab a Fastpass for Soarin’--we hoped they would still be available! Luckily, they were otherwise DH would have cried since that is his favorite non-creepy ride, by non-creepy I mean it’s not Tower of Terror or Haunted Mansion.

Instead of heading back out into the heat, we stayed in the Land and rode Living with the Land...love the greenhouse!

Picture002.jpg

Picture003.jpg

Picture007.jpg

Picture008.jpg

Picture010.jpg

Picture014.jpg

After, we headed upstairs to watch Circle of Life, which DH likes to call nap time. It’s a great way to get off your feet and stay in the cool air conditioning, but we’ve seen it so many times, we don’t really have to watch it you know? I guess it just gives us an excuse to stay in the Land.

Picture015.jpg

Soon, we could use these...

Picture016.jpg

After “nap time” we realized we could get another FP, why not just stay in the Land and get another for Soarin? So we did. We could’ve rode Soarin at this point, but we were starving, so guess where we ate? If you guessed Sunshine Seasons, you guessed right! Why leave the Land Pavilion?

DH had Sweet and Sour chicken and I had a turkey sandwich..I didn’t copy down what dessert we had, but it came from Sunshine Seasons, so you know it was delicious!

Now it was time to fly! Soarin is AMAZING! Anyone not love this ride? I have said this before...movies like this typically make me feel queasy, but not this one because it feels so real! Love love love this ride. Disney, you are amazing.

We knew we needed to get a FP for Test Track next, but we had some time to kill before we could get one. While we waited, we decided to check out the Princess Tiana exhibit and Butterfly/Fairy Garden which they had as part of the Flower & Garden Festival.

Picture018.jpg

Picture020.jpg

Picture021.jpg

Picture022.jpg

Picture023.jpg

Picture024.jpg

Picture032.jpg

Picture034.jpg

Very fun in the butterfly garden, especially if you get a butterfly to land on you.

We made sure to FP Test Track and then headed off to the Seas, with Nemo & Friends, of course. I can’t wait for the Little Mermaid ride they are putting in the new Fantasyland, I imagine it will be similar to Nemo only with a better soundtrack!

We waited around for Turtle Talk with crush, which is always a great time. We were doing great with our second Epcot day because when we looked at the time, we saw that we could ride Soarin and could get yet another FP, so of course, we got it for Soarin.

We flew high for the second time already in the day and then headed over to Mr. Figment to go into his imagination. It makes me sad that there is never a line for this guy, I love Figment--I know the ride isn’t what it used to be, but he still needs to get some love!

We stopped for a quick snack of ice cream and then went off to ride Test Track. I couldn’t believe all that we had accomplished in such little time!

Hidden Mickey anyone?

Picture036.jpg

Picture037.jpg

Image0033.jpg

We took a quick bathroom break, probably the 6th of the day already because after all DH was with me, and that is when I noticed that my brand new sunglasses were bleeding pink all over my face! It was hot and as I was sweating, it caused the paint? to come off.

I wiped as much as I could off, but you could see some of it, it wasn’t noticeable, but I knew needed new sunglasses that didn’t bleed onto my face. DH suggested we go to Mouse Gears to see if they would exchange the bleeding glasses for better ones.

When we got there, I explained my situation to a nice CM who gladly allowed me to exchange them. Yay! I think the sunglasses I bought here are still the ones I wear today.

Next we decided to go to Innovations to get our picture with some characters since we have a Disney Visa card, they do this special meet n greet for card members in one of the Innovations buildings.

Continued in next post...

On our way, we took pictures of topiaries we hadn’t seen the day before.

Picture038.jpg

Picture039.jpg

Picture041.jpg

Picture043.jpg

The way they set up the meet n greet is you first have to check in and show that you are a card member. Then you stand in a line, sometimes it can be pretty long, but it wasn’t too bad on this day. Party by party they let you in behind this curtain, so you don’t know who you are meeting until it is your turn.

And for the third year in a row, we were welcomed by these two guys:

Image0038.jpg

Nothing against Mickey & Pluto, but they need to change this up, mix up the characters a bit more. Our first year we had Mickey, Minnie, and Goofy! Which was neat because it is rare to meet more than 2 characters at once and it was funny how they all interact. Anyways, I am willing to bet if we do this again on this trip, we will once again get Mickey & Pluto..I’d be shocked if we didn’t!

After our private meeting with mouse & dog, we went to see a glimpse of future on Spaceship Earth. Such a relaxing, yet educational ride.

We had an early dinner scheduled for Le Cellier, so we decided to start heading over to the World Showcase to first get a FP for Maelstrom.

We had to make a quick pit stop in Mexico because we saw this duck just standing around and had to say hello.

Picture044.jpg

Arriving in Norway, I reminded DH about school bread and how we needed to get some later on because I had heard about it on the DIS, and of course, I love taking all your DISers’ suggestions! We grabbed a FP for Norway and we were off to our Le Cellier 4:30, early bird dinner!

Up Next: Food!!!!

We arrived at Le Cellier just in time for our ADR at 4:30. I highly recommend eating an early dinner/late lunch here since it gets so crowded. We found that at 4:30, the crowd levels are much lower.

We were seated right away and basically didn’t even have to look at the menu since we knew what we wanted.

That didn’t stop me from taking a picture of it though.

Picture047.jpg

Not sure what drinks we ordered, but they sure do look refreshing and yummy! I guess maybe we did look at the menu!

Picture049.jpg

DH got the Le Cellier Experience in which you choose an appetizer, entree, and dessert. It’s a pretty good deal and a great way to get Cheddar Cheese soup when on the DDP since appetizers aren't included. For his appetizer, DH ordered the heavenly cheddar cheese soup...and of course, our waiter brought out 2 spoons so I could have some too! Dipping that pretzel bread in that soup is the most amazing thing I have ever eaten. I am drooling thinking about it. For his entree I believe he got NY Strip steak...and for his dessert he got the chocolate moose.

Picture052.jpg

I got the mushroom filet Mignon--Also incredibly heavenly!!! I also got the chocolate moose!

Picture051.jpg

Picture045.jpg

Picture053.jpg

I go back in forth about what is my favorite Disney restaurant! It comes down to 3 places depending on my mood: Le Cellier, California Grill, and O’hana! However, we are only eating at 2 out of the 3 of these on our upcoming trip...with Le Cellier being the odd man out. We really wanted to try something new that the World Showcase has to offer...so we are going with Teppan Edo instead...but oh how I will miss Le Cellier this year!

Le Cellier never disappoints, and now that we were overly stuffed it was time to hit up more rides in Future World & the World Showcase.

First, we rode something that needs a major facelift...Ellen’s Energy Adventure. Even though it is not our favorite of rides, we still ride every time. I feel like we do this with a lot of attractions...I guess it is the feeling of one day it won’t be here anymore, so we better ride it now. Or maybe we just ride it because of the air conditioning and the fact that it is another good “nap time” ride. :rotfl:Nevertheless, it’s not a true trip to Epcot without a ride on this!

Enough rambling...after this we were back on Soarin’ for the 3rd time of the day! I don’t think we ever rode it that much! I was very proud of our FP hoarding skills, especially since Epcot had been our worst park in years park...and by worst I mean that we didn’t get through the attractions we wanted. However, I feel like on this trip, we became Epcot Experts. :thumbsup2

At this point, we were done with Future World and decided to go walk around the World Showcase until Illuminations began. Since we had done the entire WS the day before, we could really just relax and enjoy the beautiful countries at our leisure...this is what Disney is all about, and no one in my non-Disney family believes me that you can actually relax while at WDW!

I highly recommend taking 2 days for Epcot...one day to really enjoy the WS and one day to really get all the attractions that FW has to offer! Then you won't feel so rushed in trying to get all of Epcot done because there is just too much to see and if you don't take your time, you may just miss something! That is my public service announcement of the day.

Picture056.jpg

We headed to the American Adventure since we hadn’t seen it yet and it did not disappoint--what an inspirational and moving show! The theater is simply gorgeous too, and of course, I failed at taking pictures on this day! I have never seen Voices of Liberty, but I really want to on our upcoming trip!

Feeling very patriotic, we felt the need to hang with some trolls now that our FP for Maelstrom was ripe and ready for use. Always a joy to go on that ride, for some reason I can’t stop laughing while on it. Oh Disney, I love you so much.

We decided to get the coveted snack of school bread and stake out a spot for Illuminations.

Picture058.jpg

We found a cozy little spot in Norway to enjoy our delicious school bread and enjoy the show. Our seats weren't the greatest, but not so bad either--besides, I had that school bread to comfort me. YUM!

Picture059.jpg

Illuminations really grew on me on this trip...before it was my least favorite of the nighttime shows...I use least lightly because all the entertainment is better than anything we get back home, but on a Disney level Illuminations didn’t really appeal to me like the others...Well on this trip, the light bulb went off and I had a epiphany and loved the show! Maybe it was because we were becoming so darn good at touring Epcot... :)

While the herds rushed to get out of the park, DH and just sat and finished our school bread while we laughed at everyone rushing to leave...I don’t get it..it’s not like if you don’t get out of the park you are going to be beheaded! Ah...Disney amateurs I love imparting my knowledge on them. :teacher:

As the crowds thinned, DH and I decided to make our way out and we weren’t beheaded at all. :rotfl2:

Oh look! They still have Photopass photographers out!

Image0052.jpg

This one in particular asked if we were brother and sister...I think he was joking, however, I cannot be sure. Either way, it was kind of weird especially when asked to kiss. Don't worry, I think he asked that after we told him we weren't brother and sister! I hope :scared:...after all this was in 2010.

We made it back to our car and back to the WL in no time at all. As we were going through receipts for the day we noticed that we were charged twice for something at the WL gift shop on our credit card. We went down to try and get it all figured out but the shop was already closed so we checked with the front desk and they helped us to call our credit card company. The CM helping us was very accommodating and talked the CC company for us explaining the situation and how it was their mistake. I remember that it took a while, but it was all resolved and taken care of. We decided to end our evening with some swimming and hot tub time before returning to our room for some much needed shut eye.

UP NEXT: Day 6 with the animals!

We leave tomorrow! I must get this TR done!!!

Let me start off by saying that we had a great AK day! I define a great AK day as one where we get to ride Everest 3 times , Dinosaur twice, and Kali River Rapids twice! Not to mention see all the shows and be out of there by about around 5:00 PM...well that is what we did folks!

Since AK is so darn far out of the way, we had just missed Rope Drop--not to worry though there was NO line for EE!

Since we were on our Everest Dash, I am lacking in the pictures department.

We were able to FP EE and then proceeded to hop in the nonexistent standby line. We walked right on and had the time our lives. As we got off, we noticed there was still no line, so we hopped right back in and rode it again! I love early Disney mornings!

We considered riding it again, but decided to check out if the other rides were walk on too!

Image0059.jpg

And guess what? Kali River Rapids had no line either! We don’t ever do this line in standby, but hey, no line!

We were the lucky ones in our boat and didn’t get wet. On our way out, we could now grab a FP for it.

Picture065.jpg

Picture064.jpg

We started to make our way to Kilimanjaro Safari to check the standby line for that ride, when a lovely couple approached us and asked if we wanted their FPs for the safari which were active right now. Of course, we thanked them and walked into the FP line.

We had probably been in AK about an hour and had already ridden Everest twice, Kali River Rapids, and now the Safari. Not to mention we had FP lined up for the others! We were loving AK this morning!

Safari time!

Picture068.jpg

Picture084.jpg

Love elephants!

Picture090.jpg

Picture092.jpg

Picture077.jpg

Not my best work, but I was seated in the middle of the truck and it was hard to maneuver the camera around people’s heads. Oh well--we still had a great time!

As we exited we saw that the Flights of Wonder show was beginning, so we flocked to the theater (see what I did there?)

Picture103.jpg

Sorry bird-keeper CM...

Picture112.jpg

Picture114.jpg

This guy should hang out at the America pavilion...

Picture120.jpg

Picture125.jpg

Picture127.jpg

As always, we liked Flights of Wonder...and just hoped we didn’t get pooped on! We didn’t.

Seeing all those birds made us hungry for chicken, so we decided on Flame Tree BBQ for lunch. Before though, we got FPs for Dinosaur to use later. DH had a turkey sandwich with key lime mousse and I had ½ chicken meal with chocolate mousse.

While we were eating, some bird friends decided to join us.

Picture134.jpg

Picture133.jpg

These were the most persistent birds I’d ever encountered! They would not leave us alone. We do not feed the animals at WDW, so we just ignored them, but one of them insisted and pecked DH ever so lightly in the leg as if to say, “Hey you! I’m still here, food please.” We couldn’t believe it and we were laughing about it all day.

Continued in next post...

Nice and full we decided to digest while watching the Nemo show. I think we were so full and tired--we half fell asleep. I like the Nemo show well enough, but it not as good as Festival of the Lion King...plus I feel like it’s too long. I don’t know, maybe I should see it when I’m not exhausted.

Picture135.jpg

Feeling sleepy, we knew we would wake right up when riding Dinosaur, so that is where we went next. Once again, I did not see the end of the ride and closed my eyes and ears for most of it.

We watched Tough to be a Bug next.

Picture139.jpg

Then it was time to see my love, Festival of the Lion King!! Instant happiness at this show!

Picture147.jpg

Picture161.jpg
Picture158.jpg

Picture158.jpg

Picture182.jpg

Somewhere along the way, we ran into these two troublemakers:

Picture183.jpg

Funny thing is...I don’t remember meeting them since last night I told DH that if we see Chip and Dale, we must meet them since we never have before...Oh well, I’ll meet them again!

We were feeling hot, so decided to cool down by using our Kali FP. This time we were not so lucky and ended up getting absolutely soaked...I could wring water out of my shirt for a long time!

We wanted to dry off by walking along the Maharajah Jungle Trek but it was closed and we noticed they were only letting security with a K-9 unit go inside. I still have no idea what happened, but once again, we saw Disney security at work.

Since we couldn’t dry off slowly, we decided to ride Everest instead...we were cold! And I apologize to whoever had to sit our seats after us since they were all wet from our sopping clothes.

We stopped for a snack of ice cream and tried our luck at the Maharajah Jungle Trek again...this time it was open!

We love this walk through attraction because we love tigers!

This guy knows how to spend his days

Picture203.jpg

Picture216.jpg

I told you we love tigers.

Something that we love just as much as tigers are baby animals...and we knew there was a new baby gorilla on the Pagani Trail, so that is where we were off to next!

Picture248.jpg

Picture249.jpg

Picture250.jpg

Picture253.jpg

Picture247.jpg

Picture247.jpg

Picture262.jpg

I loved the baby gorilla!

We were feeling pretty darn good about our AK day and we noticed a storm beginning to approach, so we decided to ride Dinosaur one last time and head back to WL. I so wanted to see the end of the ride, and I think this time I managed to see some of the scary dinosaur through my hands. Fail.

Image0056.jpg

Image0065.jpg

Back at the WL, we started getting ready for our ADR at Shutters which was over at the Caribbean Beach Resort.

Up Next: Our dinner at Shutters and DTD shopping!

Day 6 continued...

While we made our way to Shutters at the Caribbean Beach Resort, it had begun to rain. Since we were a few minutes early for our ADR, we hung out in the car until the rain let up.

DH and I had never been in a moderate resort before, we are such snobs only staying deluxe, but I must say, CBR was beautiful! It truly felt like you were on a Caribbean island! I loved the atmosphere of this place!

Anyway, when planning the trip, we wanted to check out a moderate so we decided to make an ADR somewhere to kill two birds with one stone.

We were seated at Shutters in no time at all.

Picture288.jpg

Picture289.jpg

Picture290.jpg

I ordered the Caribbean pasta and DH once again got a NY Strip Steak. All of it was pretty good and I thought the price here was reasonable. I wish I had taken more pictures of the beautiful grounds though!

Picture291.jpg

Picture292.jpg

Picture293.jpg

After our meal, we made went to DTD for some shopping. Of course, the place was a madhouse, as it usually is at night.

World of Disney is incredibly dangerous for me! I can spend our entire mortgage in that store, which is why DH makes sure he doesn’t let me out of his sight.

Well, except when he had to go use the facilities, he told me that he would meet in Arribas Brothers.

Picture295.jpg

Picture295.jpg

When he returned, he was shocked to see that I purchased this:

Picture297.jpg

Just kidding!

We bought a Mickey and Minnie figurine for DMIL’s birthday gift and I’m sure we headed back to World of Disney where I am sure we made purchases...I just cannot remember what it is we bought. Ah 2010, you were so long ago!

Not wanting to fight the crowds anymore, we went back to hotel for a relaxing evening the hot tub before going to bed.

Up Next: Our last FULL Disney day :(

Day 7: The Final Full Disney Day - May 7, 2010
As a tradition, we always go to the MK on our last full Disney day, and this year proved to be no exception.
Last Disney days are always so bittersweet. On the one hand, you are so happy you are still there, but on the other hand, you know that soon you will have to say goodbye. Heart-wrenching.
This was the one day we actually made Rope Drop!
Picture298.jpg

Welcome, welcome, welcome…

Picture299.jpg

Picture301.jpg

Picture305.jpg

Picture306.jpg

The goal for the last full Disney day is always to ride our favorites one last time and take in all the sights and sounds of MK. We just do what feels right on this day.

Image0070.jpg

Naturally, our first attraction was Splash Mountain.
We grabbed some FPs and hopped in the short standby line. We got wet.

Image0076.jpg

We walked over to Splash’s neighboring mountain, Big Thunder and rode that with little wait. As well.

Onward to Adventureland!

Picture310.jpg

It was cruise time!
Picture311.jpg

Smile!
Picture312.jpg

Picture314.jpg

Next up, we rode PotC. Before getting in line, we saw a Photopass photographer doing fun shots right outside the ride!

Image0078.jpg

Image0079.jpg

Have you ever seen anyone happier to be in a sword fight?

Image0080.jpg

What fun!

After hanging with the pirates we had a hankering for a sweet snack, Main Street Bakery sounded like a lovely idea.

On our way…

Image0082.jpg

Image0085.jpg

We got a delicious sticky bun to share!

Picture316.jpg

After our incredibly sticky bun, we made it to Tomorrowland to grab FPs for Space Mountain. Of course, we had to ride the Peoplemover with our feet up. We then went to Carousel of Progress and had some fun in Tomorrowland when we found our favorite space ranger:

Image0098.jpg

Then we saw PUSH for the first time!

Picture320.jpg

And of course, DH had to find the guy who controls him.

Warning: Magic ruined in these pictures

Picture319.jpg

Picture317.jpg

We totally stalked him.

Seeing that a sticky bun is not enough to hold you over, we were feeling pretty hungry so we just stopped at the nearest counter service, which happened to be Cosmic Rays. I know lots of people avoid this place, but we like that they have lots of choices. You just need to avoid it during the busy lunch/dinner hours. I think we were having an early lunch at this point, so it wasn’t busy and we found a table with no problems. I am pretty sure we ordered chicken fingers with carrot cake and chocolate cake.

After lunch, we grabbed some FPs for Buzz Lightyear and rode Haunted Mansion.

On the way, we were excited to see New Fantasyland walls up! It was 2010 people, this was big news! I can’t wait to see all the progress since in 3 days!

Picture323.jpg

Picture322.jpg

Picture324.jpg

Picture325.jpg

Picture325.jpg

Haunted Mansion was amazing as usual. I am pretty sure DH mentioned that he wants to move into it one day while on our ride.

Since we had ridden so many of our favorites already or obtained FPs for them, we took the opportunity to try something new. Tom Sawyer Island!
We waited for the raft to take us over and boy was it HOT!

I had no idea what expect from this little island, but I was pretty impressed with it. All the little nooks and crannies to explore, the caves, the forts, the bridges! We had a blast and DH especially loved scaring poor kids in the caves. We are such children.

Picture327.jpg

Picture328.jpg

Picture330.jpg

If you have never taken the time to get over to Tom Sawyer Island, do it at least once! We really did have a great time exploring and we felt so far removed from the MK. We spent a good hour on the island, just exploring. We wondered how many people have to check the island at the end of the night to make sure nobody got left behind because seriously, there are so many places one could hide if they wanted. Then you’d be stuck on the island all night, and that would be kind of creepy…Kingdom Keepers anyone?

After our fun expedition, we quickly grabbed more FPs for Thunder Mountain and headed to watch some Tiki birds do their thing.

Picture332.jpg

Unfortunately, it was still under new management.

We had more snack credits to use, so we found some Mickey bars and ate them as we made our way up Main Street.

Then it occurred to me to ask a Photopass photographer to get our picture of us eating the Mickey bars because they are just SO Disney!

I love how these turned out!

Image0105.jpg

Image0109.jpg

Image0112.jpg

The photographer was great because he moved us to so many different locations and poses. Then when they started to melt, he finally said it was okay to go ahead and eat them!

Image0114.jpg

YUM!

We did some shopping on Main Street and watched some of the Muppet parade…

Picture333.jpg

And soon it was time ride Space Mountain which we love!

At this point, it was time to start making our way to the Grand Floridian for our 1900 Park Fare ADR.

We took the boat launch over and soon we were in the gorgeous GF lobby which brought back so many memories from our Disneymoon!

We checked in and were seated relatively quickly, we noticed the characters were pretty far away, so we took it upon ourselves to go stack our plates.

The only thing I remember eating was the strawberry soup which so many people rave about…I honestly didn’t care for it, and I love strawberries. The food, in my opinion, was just so-so. I don’t think it is a great buffet overall, food wise, but if you come for the characters then you are in for a treat!

The step-sisters were a riot! (Don’t mind my sweatiness and I don’t know what is up with my hair, lol)

Picture338.jpg

DH was not feeling the pictures on this night, so he just took them as I acted like a four year old, after all, Cinderella is my favorite movie of all time!
The step sisters were of course trying to find a prince of their own, and were saddened that DH was already taken.

Lady Tremaine came next and was crabby as ever.

My girl Cinderella came shortly after and she was lovely. So very sweet, just as a Cinderella should be!

And then, my first prince encounter!

Heck yeah , I’m a princess!

So overall, 1900 Park Fare…great character interaction with unique characters, not so great food—while we were pretty much the only adults in this place with no kids, we still had a nice time, but we probably won’t be returning until we have little girls of our own.

After dinner, we walked around the GF, passing our old building, Sugar Loaf. We walked around the lobby and then took the monorail back to our happy place.

I missed you!

We also got this special shot:

Yay! Balloons!

We still had Fastpasses for Splash Mountain to use, so of course, we headed there first.

We were surprised when we got off that there were still FPs available, so we definitely grabbed more of those before riding Thunder Mountain next.
Back to Tomorrowland we rode Buzz and I lost, again. Then we went to Space Mountain and had a grand time being whipped through space.

We each wanted to ride our favorites one last time, so we rode Haunted Mansion first and then Splash Mountain one last time.

We used our final snack credits on two Dole Whips and got situated for Wishes.

Of course, I cried, harder this time because it would be the last time we would being seeing for a long time!

We very slowly lingered on Main Street as the crowds thinned out not wanting to leave.

The Photopass CMs could just tell it was our last evening, we had THAT sad, it’s my last full Disney day look. You all know it!

I dragged my feet out of the Magic Kingdom, my happy place, but not before first waving goodbye and shedding a few more tears. Of course, DH tries to make me feel better and always says, “We’ll be back soon.” (Yeah right, DH, if your definition of soon is over 2 years, then yeah, we’ll be back soon!) :rotfl:

We got on the WL boat launch and got ready to use the pool one last time. After a nice peaceful evening at the pool, we went back to our room to pack all our things, tomorrow it was time to get back on the road for home.

DAY 8: GOODBYE!
Our last day went a little like this:
-Woke up at 9:30
-Ate at Roaring Forks for breakfast where we gave our arcade cards to a family with 2 young kids, they were gracious and thanked us a bunch of times. I love spreading our own pixie dust! pixiedust:
-We filled the ice box
-We enjoyed our deck one more time
-We called bell services to help us with our bags
-We bought a couple more must-have items of the gift shop.
-We said goodbye to the grand lobby, hopped in our car, and drove off.

This was the first time we didn’t go to the beach after Disney, and I must say, it was depressing. At least when we leave for the beach, there is still more vacation to look forward to, even if it isn’t Disney!

And that was the story of our 2010 trip!

I can end this TR happily because…TOMORROW we leave for DISNEY! There is no happier ending than that! :)

PTR UPDATE: Let me show you what I have been up to:
I made itinerary packets for our group. It just gives a quick run down of the day’s plan, along with tips, great snack options (SCHOOL BREAD, hello), and our recommended attractions.

We held Disney orientation at our house going over all the details and I even made Mickey cookies for the occasion! Yes, they think I’m crazy, but appreciate that I do all the planning for the trip!
